Interesting, haven't received any calls from Skoda. Planning to give my Kodiaq for the first service in Jan, will check then.

A trip is on the anvil. All of 6k kms from Chennai to Rajasthan and back. We will be 4 of us till Ahmedabad and from there for about 1500 kms it will be 6 in the car. The youngest is my 12 year lanky son, so he finds himself very comfortable. I wouldn't get adults on the last row for a long drive.

I will post updates of how the car behaved on the trip soon.

Newer battery are supposed to be more powerful than the older one, the question is why are they changing it, what was the problem with the old one and why after a year?

Can you share details of the battery on your car? My car seems to have been manufactured sometime in June 2018 and would be good to see if they have already changed the battery.

This is the battery in my car.

You have the right one, 72aH is what they are installing , the initial one came with 60ah is what been told to me. They are checking the vin and accordingly calling the car, mostly the initial batch only.

First service done, it's under 4 year maintenance package the final cost was zero to me but the invoice does show the actual cost to be 9k+. So who ever has not gone for maintenance package your first service is going to be less than 10k.

Will look forward to it!
Thanks itWasntMe for the Autocar long term review. I guess the version we have in India is fully loaded and should have the rear view camera and the park assist which are absolutely necessary in India . Also, i guess the battery recall might be the same issue that he author has reported.
I am slowly getting enamored by the kodiaq!

Thanks to the owners for posting updates regularly.
In the absence of a full ownership review, could I please pick your brains regarding what other options you considered when you bought the Kodiaq?

Thanks! Read through it already and can empathise completely because have been sitting on a similar boat. The Endeavour vs Kodiaq debate rages in the head. With the 2.0 l Biturbo rumoured to hit both (facelift in Endy and RS in Kodiaq) the dilemma is heightened.

Only one thing is decided, either will be Black.

Could you pls post a pic of your black Kodiaq ?

Anyone tried connecting an Internet dongle to the infotainment system. I tried but it did not detect. In the media connect option it says we can use a car stick is it something we should buy separately or any compatible 4G dongles are available.

Re: Skoda Kodiaq : Official Review

Hi Guys, took delivery of my new Kodiak L&K lava blue last week. Very quick delivery I got within 2 weeks of my booking. I booked on 30 November and took delivery on 14th of December.( First L& K delivery in Andhra Pradesh)

9.Media connect / WLAN

12.Auto parking brake assist
13.Drive modes
14. Paddle shifters
15. Canton music system.

Dislikes
1. A/c cooling
2. Rear blower speed low
3. The gloss finish gets dirty very soon with finger prints (everyone in the car need to wear gloves if you want it to look clean).
4. The boot virtual pedal gets activated accidentally.
5. No tyre pressure monitoring system.
6. No ventilated seats
7. Squeaking/rattling noise from suspension when travelling on uneven surface- need to get it checked.
8. MRF tyres
9. 360° view not really helpful., getting a orientation is difficult.
10. Proximity sensors a waste in city traffic in India they make your journey more miserable than pleasurable.

I am planning a ceramic coating and side step installation and have taken a few snaps after its first bath , before i put my bear to hibernation. Enjoy the snaps.

Congratulations on a really classy purchase. I have just one Q - I was under the impression the L&K would launch with black interiors (like the Superb Sportline), not beige. Do you get a choice or is it only with beige interiors?

Thanks
