Re: Hyundai Verna : Official Review

I recently changed my end-of-life Michelin P4ST 205/55 R16 91W to Vredestein Ultrac Vorti 205/55 R16 91W.

No real complaints so far, though the Michelins were still more quieter when new, as well as had a plusher ride. Would have blindly gone for Michelin P4ST if they were available.

I think only Vredesteins are available today in 91W. Rest of the brands seem to have a lower rating, if that matters to you.

Re: Hyundai Verna : Official Review

Guys , at what mileage did you get your engine mounts changed. My verna diesel AT is currently at 88000 KMs of which 15-17k have been done on the newly rebuilt engine but I am getting a lot of vibrations in the cabin with intermittent rattling noise from the passenger side B pillar. Any suggestions?

Re: Hyundai Verna : Official Review

I have going to change the tires for my Verna Next Gen SX(O) on Sunday 31st Jan. I choose Tyre Empire Bangalore). I have enquired with them and they have 0224 manufactured Conti and I decided to go with it. They told the cost of the tyre as 10500/-

Is it okay the tyres are 2.5 months old and is it a fair price?

thanks in advance.

I was offered UC6 @ 9750 per tyre. 3 of them are 0124 and one is 0224. I have also installed damper for the suspension which costed me 8K for all the 4 tyres. So total 55K that includes tyre, alignment, balancing, air nozzle / neck and dampers.

Re: Hyundai Verna : Official Review

Hi Guys,

any suggestions for headlamps for NextGen Verna (2017 Model)? I was using Osram 9005NL-HCB 60W 12V P20D 10X2BOX 4F which I bought in 2019 and today one of the bulb has fused. Would be of great help if you can suggest me alternatives which is good and brighter. I dont want to slit the wires or go with options that are not approved.

Also, can you give me the wiper blade sized for NextGen Verna 2017 Model? Mine needs a replacement.

Thanks in advance.

Hey guys , my engine splash shield has broken and it is hanging off completely. Is it okay to get it removed completely and drive as is or should I get a complete replacement?

Re: Hyundai Verna : Official Review

Hi,

My 2018 Petrol Verna seems to have some sort of jerkiness/ stuttering in the 1st gear. This car was primarily driven by the driver up until last week so I can’t say if it’s a long standing issue. Any suggestions as to what could be the cause?

Hi,

It is better to replace the halogens with BH3 LED. There are couple of good ones available from OSARM, Auxito and Bosch. I replaced my halogens in 2022 with Bosch Iris, and they are performing really well since then. My 80% of drive is in night so I can say that that the LEDs are very helpful and better than the stock rated halogens. In rain, story is different, but I got used to it by now.

Wiper size is 24" / 16" set.

Thanks!

Re: Hyundai Verna : Official Review

Hello everyone! I have 2017 Hyundai Verna and have been having few issues with the head unit. The most bothering one is that the unit does not switch off when the ignition is turned off after a drive, and the car is locked. The display remains on and radio continues to play. The workaround is to crank up the engine again and turn it off, after which the head unit switches off (some times it takes 2 to 3 tries).

This has been checked by the Hyundai workshop too, however they not been able to fix it.

Has anyone encountered this issue, and been able to permanently fix it?

I am exploring how to access to engineering mode of the unit, and try a reset from there. Will update the outcome on this thread.

If you are talking about the engine guard at the bottom then it best to get it replaced.

Hi all,

My mid-2019 Verna (D) is nearing its 70K service. The rubber bushes on both sides are torn/worn out. Not sure if there is an oil leak too.

Has anyone done any suspension parts or a full replacement? At what odometer reading?
The suspension has taken a few hard bumps at high speeds (mostly by the front tyres).

Thinking of sticking to stock spares in case I have to replace any.

I have purchased and installed OSRAM LED HEADLIGHT FOR CAR G9005/6 COOL WHITE (HB3/HB4 12V 50W 6000K) offline.
I wanted to go for warm white (4200K) but didn't find them in the shops I visited. Stock bulbs were 60W each so this doesn't need any special wiring. It fits well in the projector including the driver unit. They are a significant improvement over the stock setup. They had to remove the front bumper to install them correctly.

Re: Hyundai Verna : Official Review

Can someone suggest good quality 3rd party brake pads. I have done 90K KMs on my Verna & always used oem pads but I shifted to bosch pads the last time , loved the performance , however they have worn off way too fast.

I would love something with good durability & better performance , the braking in this Verna has always felt underwhelming since day 1. Would love to know what other owners feel

I remember people talking about bilstein/tien suspensions much earlier in this thread.

Re: Hyundai Verna : Official Review

Hi all,
Does anyone here know the fog lamp specs of the 2018 Verna 1.6 SX? I was thinking of replacing it with led bulbs but couldn't find any information in the owners manual on the type and wattage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Hyundai Verna : Official Review

2018 Verna SX has 9006 / HB4 fog lamps. I did a replacement of stock bulbs with AUXITO 9006 HB4 LED Fog Light Bulbs sourced from Amazon. It was worth its salt.

Re: Hyundai Verna : Official Review

Hi all,

Any reliable place to change the headlamps in Bangalore (preferably around Whitfield area)?
Planning to change the headlamps to OSRAM LED HEADLIGHT FOR CAR G9005/6 COOL WHITE (HB3/HB4 12V 50W 6000K).

Amazon listed ones doesnt seems to be reliable and I have found one from boodmo.

I am okay to buy it from the shop too or from boodmo and if the shop can fix it for me. I am not sure if ASS guys will help me fix this.

thanks in advance
