Hi RavenAvi, If problems do exist it can't be brushed under the carpet. Suggest you be at it instead of remaining quiet. Did join that Whatsapp group and the discussion is mundane, and so much is being discussed on a second by second basis that people will be scared to utter the TATA name even. More like an agony group. There is no learning there.
NEXON owners on TeamBHP are a satisfied lot, unless one of us reports something and I will for sure. It's a wonderful vehicle and I need to be careful where I give it for service or where I tank up, as my friend's Nexon got stranded outside the city due to bad fuel, possibly. It was a Sunday and he got no help from the dealership. I hope a good product isn't going to be let down by 'don't care' attitude. I'm miffed that nobody at Tata has called regarding my vehicle or asking for any feedback, post sale!

Can some one pls share a pic of this ? One of the owners could help here.
TIA !

My comment about hitting below the belt was for the rumour that Tata used "poor quality steel" in the Nexon to cut costs.
I went through the Facebook link you shared, till end of September and the two niggles that were posted were of the mileage reading on the MID (also posted on this thread) and the AC running warm (correction for which was posted by another owner). Nothing else. Definitely nothing about "poor quality steel". |
My post in the x451 thread was about the Tiago, not the Nexon. Back in June, Nexon wasn't even launched.
And that bit of information about the Tiago has been confirmed by at least 3-4 other sources, so I stand by it.
You won't find issues about Tiago in a Nexon group.

Couldn't join the WhatsApp group, so have no clue if anything else was shared there. |
Most of the niggles/issues are being reported in the dedicated WhatsApp group, which is now full due to plenty of others joining the group all through yesterday evening, night and even today morning due to my post above which contains the direct link. As soon as a few members leave, you could try again.
Here you go. There is red plastic shroud around the bulb for sure.

Tata Motors has rolled out the 10,000th Nexon from it's assembly lines at the Ranjangaon facility near Pune.

Thanks Sebring.
One alternative: get required color bulbs, so the shroud is not required at all. Aliexpress is one source.

My bad. Since it was in the Nexon thread, I assumed so.

Haven't seen much on the forum here as yet.

I agree. Though much has been said about the styling, it does not appear to be like a bonsai SUV because it retains the curvy nature of its hatch brethren.
Unfortunately for the less aware buyer, the Bolt-ish silhouette goes against the Nexon.
PS : Couldnt resist posting this picture I snapped recently. Like father, unlike son ?

Amazing combo! Simply Superb!
Safari/Storme design will live really longer than any other SUV's available in the market today. A simple, macho and elegant looking SUV.
Prem.

The Nexon does look handsome, but can't hold a candle to the Old School Butch looks of the Storme.
Like classic, unlike remix.
Now.. Only if we could add a Tata Sierra to this. But, where would that stand in the family? Elder son? :)
Extreme zoomed out view. The shiny dash scratches easily. It's akin to maintaining the finish on the glossy Black iPhone7. My friend leaned his backpack and gifted me some deep ones. Thankfully, had some Meguiars ScratchX at hand which returned the console back to original finish.
Need an expert opinion on how to protect this painted shiny part on the dash. This is painted surface similar to side view mirrors. Can protective film be applied on it or can it be wrapped? Anyone knows anybody at 3M who can opine on the matter? The 3M guys I asked at the car care centre are unsure. Tata Motors wont reply to mails.

You seem to be working with Accenture / Nearby premises , that my storme, i too couldnt resist to click the pictures.
We live in the world of constraints. If we break the mental block of comparing it with the bolt , one would truly find the Nexon quite stylish.
This particular nexon is an attention grabber. I always see people surrounding and peeping inside the car. This proves that people are seeing this as a fresh car.

I completely agree with you Amit M! My comment was directed to the lay people , who probably will not take to the styling. Especially at first glance.
My cousin sister was recently in the market for a compact SUV, and in spite of my best effort to convince them otherwise, they still went in for the Creta Diesel for about 2+L more than the XZ+ , for this very reason.
