If anything, the actions taken by Tata should have left a very favorable impression on you. They responded promptly, accepted their faults, worked on fixing it thoroughly, and even offered compensation for any external expenses incurred. The best part is the Nexon is not even their flagship car. There is no automotive company(or non auto for that matter) which has a 100% success rate with sending out absolutely perfect products off the assembly line. There are well documented reports on this forum where Maruti has failed it's customers (Laluks' Scross ownership review) and some Hyundai Vernas having defective engines. In either of these cases it wouldn't help if you even lived right next to the showrooms. Long story short, see the manufacturer's response rather than a stray issue in a vehicle before buying your next car :). Note that I'm not a Tata fan boy. We have actually had a wagon r and now an i10 in the family.

:OT But I wanted to respond to this comment of yours since (last June) I experienced the exact situation you describe. I drive a Petrol-Zest which broke-down just before Nagarhole National Park (a very good example of remote location) due to a malfunctioning fuel-pump. I have put the complete details
here.
If anything, I was happy with the way Tata & Urs Kars handled the situation. It does not mean they'll support you at any remote location, but it does give you some confidence.
I find very weird as there is a sudden drop of mileage after the first service(XZ+ Diesel). I used to get 25+kmpl (where MID showing as 30) in the very first 2000kms and got the first service done after which it got dropped to 10-12kmpl only. I drive mostly in Eco and City mode and the speed ranges within 60-100kmph. Tank to Tank ranges only for 550-600kms. Wondering what would have gone wrong? Is anyone experiencing the same issue?
Tata cars are getting better day by day. But the pain area with Tata is still their service area.
Here in Durgapur- West Bengal, the only Tata dealership got closed six months back. Also I came to know, that in neighbouring towns, Tata dealerships are in bad shape.
Although I love their new products and was considering Nexon as an upgrade, but these scenarios forced me to look for other options.
Nexon is now available with different dual tone options. With so many different combinations it will be difficult to spot them at a single location, so thought of posting all the available options taken from the Nexon website. I liked the white and orange combination the most.

Yes I have literally been blown away by their customer service.
We have a Wagon R with us for the last 16 years and the service experience and their service has been lukewarm at best. They are never proactive when dealing with cheaper cars (WagonR, Celerio, Alto, Ritz, etc.). Let me share one such experience:
I had gone to our village in July last year. It is merely 10 kms outside Aligarh city. Somehow the ballast of the headlamps got loose and got lodged into the engine belt. My car was immobilised there and then. I called Maruti customer care and asked them for roadside assistance. They referred me to the local showroom in Aligarh. When I called them, they informed me that the tow truck would cost me Rs.4000 :Shockked:.
I decided to bite the bullet anyway and asked them to send the tow truck. It took them 3 hours to reach a mere 10 kms. They then kept the car for a week unnecessary saying that they already had cars of their local customers that needed to be attended to first. This experience with MASS left a very bad taste in my mouth and I decided to not buy a Maruti for my next car (the car was nearing 15 years and its RC was about to expire). In fact the service advisor even told me when I complained about the undue delay "Itna purana kabaad chalaoge to dikkat to aayegi hi na!"
Compared to MASS, Tata has been a pleasure to deal with. If the local dealership doesn't respond satisfactorily, I call their CSM who is very approachable and he makes sure that whatever issue I have is sorted as early as possible. And after going for 2 services, I have made friends with the service manager at my local TASS. So all in all, TASS has been very good to me.
My Nexon a year (and 2 weeks) and 16,000 kms later. This involves weekly 250 kms drive and 2 long rides of 1000 kms and 3600 kms. Absolutely happy with the car except for a minor rattle in the sunglass holder when on really bad roads.
Bought a proklear solution and 2 litre sprayer as a birthday gift for my ride. :D
Here is the result after today's work on it for about 60 mins.

Adding 1 missing dual tone colour option to the ones shared by you already:-

Calgary White with Sonic Silver roof option
And again the rest of the dual tone options:
I loved the Glasgow Grey with White roof, wish there was a Black with White roof or White with Black roof option as well.

Your car looks fab, I have the same colour. Mine is just a baby now done 700km. Hope to keep this car long.
Has anyone tried upgrading the Halogen projector with HID. I recently experimented with a basic HID kit with DC ballast purchased online expecting to see an improvement but the beam pattern did not have a sharp cutoff and the light intensity of the 5000k bulbs was very weak.I did not use a relay for this and used existing oem harness.
I am wondering if it is worth the effort to experiment further if the actual oem projector is not well suited for a HID upgrade.
Question on the headlights:
What is the verdict from the owners if the projector headlamps on XZA are good enough?
I see some suggestions on the beam adjustment and could not determine one way or another. Thanks for your help.

I feel that the low beam headlamps are weak, more so on undivided highways where the oncoming traffic have their high beams on. The illumination with the high beam is good though in my opinion.
I plan to upgrade the low beams with CSP LEDs as they are just plug and play and don't void the warranty. I'll do it in the next few months because I don't really travel much at night and therefore don't have an urgency for the upgrade.
Guys a quick question to all the Nexon users. I am about to give my Nexon XZ + petrol for 3rd service in a few days time. It hasn't covered the desired distance since 2nd service and the ODO reads at only 9k at the moment since its not my daily driver. So what parts are changed in 3rd service and how much is the average service cost i have to pay in 3rd service for oil change and filter changes. Is Wheel balancing and alignment fixed in 3rd service or that is separate. What amount should i expect in the final bill for 3rd service. Service Center called me up and said i will be charged around Rs 4000-5000 in this service. I feel its way too high considering no major mechanical parts are to be replaced so would really like some answers here.

If no parts are being changed, with balancing, rotation, and oil and filter change it should not exceed Rs. 2500 (assuming its petrol one).
I have a 2019 Nexon XZ+. Over the past month, I am facing issues connecting my phone to the ICE via Android Auto. I have tried with multiple USB cables. ICE screen keeps getting disconnected with an error message showing up on my phone "DemoKit Arduino Board - No installed apps work with this USB accessory". Could this be an issue with the firmware or my phone? SA will probably re-flash the firmware as was done once earlier for another issue. Before I go to him, wanted to check with forum members for any specific solutions to this problem ?
