I noticed few more things that Tata Motors has removed from new Nexons. My car is petrol XZA+ manufactured in Dec last week.
1. Temperature gauge. Now there's only warning light on dash if car overheats but no meter.
2. Fuel gauge has been removed from old spot & merged into MID. It now toggles with instant fuel economy display on pressing mode button.
3. Velcro straps in boot to hold reflectors are missing now.
4. Speed sensing door lock doesn't work now. Not sure if it's a bug in latest FW or planned deletion.

Same for my XZ+ - it isn't working.
I thought it is Malfunctioning, so informed the Service Advisor and he said they will rectify the issue when i visit next.

Could it be a deletion ??
Even the Tata guys don't know about it, or they would have mentioned it.

Would not be a deletion IMHO since it's a safety feature and the December batch of Nexons would be the 5 star rated ones. Please check your HUD / Infotainment system. There is an option under Settings > Vehicle Settings > Speed sensing lock / auto lock. If that is 'on' then it could be a FW bug (not unheard) or some door sensor is malfunctioning.

The option is checked for me. It maybe an issue with the latest FW, as few other existing Nexon owners reported this issue when the FW was updated. Let's see if Tata fixes it in next update.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Speed sensing auto lock is not working on my brother in law Nexon too. Sales guy said it will be fixed at the first service. So looks like a firmware issue.

Had a chance to drive it a bit last weekend. Pretty impressive overall. Only downside is the response time in bumper to bumper traffic in the City mode. Pretty poor, but expected from an AMT. Sports mode is definitely much better.

I am using mats from Elegant Auto Retail that I bought from Amazon. It's not a bucket mat but fit is excellent. It costed me around 1950. Worth giving a shot.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Any clue if Tata will ever launch an XTA petrol version? the XMA is barebones, and XZA+ a bit over my budget.

Any idea when this is going to happen? Many cars (from different segments) including the rivals offers the same now at this price point.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

I am very close to Booking the Diesel XZA+ DT. Will be doing do on 28th Jan.

Anything I need to look out for in the process?

I also wanted to check if this version comes with Apple CarPlay?

The SA said that once software is upgraded the CarPlay will be active. Is this the case?

Would appreciate advice.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Republic Day Ad for Nexon. I would say nicely done with few taunts.

This Republic Day, ask the RIGHT QUESTION and start with "Kitni safe hai?" than "Kitna deti hai?" Tata Nexon - India's Safest Car. Video - http://bit.ly/2CKHrJG

Got this SMS from Tata Motors today. Nice campaign IMHO. The right way to combat 'Kitna Deti Hai' mentality of Indians. Now it's over to the consumers! The Nexon Diesel is quite frugal too.

The messaging on this ad is good.
But Nexon doesn't have any variant with 6 airbags. How about Tata offering this option for enhanced safety?

Is there anything specific you want to know?
I am driving my new Diesel XZA+ for 2 weeks now and the experience has been excellent so far. Today I drove around the city with 6 people inside the car + luggage and the pull doesn't seem to be affected a bit.

Apple Carplay is present but needs an upgrade of the Connectnext software.

Apple CarPlay is present by default, no SW upgrade required on new cars. I've been using it since day 1 and works seamlessly.
Only thing is connect your phone after starting the car, else system may not detect the phone sometimes.
