I have already mentioned in one of my post , I started using 38 and loving it . Don't know the logic though. Only down side being may be a 10% reduction in braking bite

I drive in normal mode in the city for daily commute . As I did not find any difference in FE between eco and normal and more over normal mode is much better to drive .

wow 38, do you drive solo most of the time? you must not have pot holes on your daily commute. do you also have the hankook ventus tyres?

Yes .. solo most of the times . I don't think there is any city in India are without pot holes :)

I cant imagine driving it with 38 psi, I tried 34 psi once and was bed ridden for a few days. Since then I keep it around 32, I have 2 disc bulges obviously that is the main issue and we dont have good roads in Aurangabad, we play the "find the tarmac" game every day on most of the roads.

Don't know how to explain , but my personal experience has been - at 33-34 I used to have a THUD when passing over pot holes , but at 38 I feel it is gliding over them .

Thats really very interesting, I will try 38 and see if it helps, at worst I will be bed ridden for a few days. No big harm in trying.

By the way, what speed are you talking about when you pass over potholes

Don't try anything that affects your health . May be get a second opinion from other Tiggy owners .

What about speed bumps? Do you slow it down or maintain 40-60. Of course you will based on traffic and the kind of speed bump :) but mostly whats the speed on those small THUD creating speed bumps?

I have not tried it on any speed bumps . Irrespective of the pressure my driving habit is to slow down at speed bumps .

What tyres are the new Tiguans having? Is it still the hankook?

Yes. That's what I heard from my service advisor.

I settled at 33 psi and comfort mode. The ride however was still not great.

Also, the tyre had a small tear bang in the centre. It did not self-heal. I had to get the puncture fixed early this month.

The service guys left it at 38psi. When I start driving it shows 36 but after 10 km or so, it rises to 38 psi. The ride is much better. Think I will continue with 38 psi.

What kind of discounts can one expect for a highline tiguan 2019 mfg car.
for new and for 18k kms run demo car.
for new i am told 2.5L cash + 1.25 L corporate (which is not applicable in my case) + 40k loyalty bonus.
and for demo car 26L on road.
but i was told that demo car will have 2 yrs warranty and can be extended to additional 1 year by paying extra and it can not be extended for up to 7 years, true? not sure. All this over a phone call.

what do you guys think?
