Is it a Taigun/Kushaq ?

Am in Hyderabad and not able to attend the PDI personally. Zekardo PDI service personnel found this in his extensive search and sent me the snap. It is great to hear that you own same color and model. IMO, Green ages well and looks classic even after it losses its initial sheen unlike other compass colors.

So, I would recommend going ahead if you liked it. My best wishes would follow.
It is a great car indeed in its segment and with all the discounts pouring in, it is in a sweet spot for pushing the button which I did joyfully. Car is now ready for delivery on coming Friday. Sky moto Pune is very helpful and transparent during the entire journey and made my purchase experience very smooth.

#DivyanshuDiv: I saw your private message about the final offer I got but as a newbie on the forum I do not have option to respond to you. I will figure out if there is way around this as per forum guidelines and let you know.

Hello Sir, I am also about to finalize a jeep comapss model s FWD from KHT Domlur. I am negotiating for a better price. It would be helpful for me if you guide me through this process with price and package.

4 lakhs discount on ex-showroom price is very tempting. I am enquiring in Bengaluru. I am given at maximum of 2 lakhs discount on the ex showroom price. If you anyone knew any delaer or sales representative that can provide a maximum discount please guide me. Thanks

Re: Jeep Compass : Official Review

Hi All,

I am currently driving a Ford Ecosport and after close to seven years with this beautiful beast, I was thinking to upgrade my car. Explored all usual Suspects like Harrier, Creta, Hector and XUV700. None of it came close to the feel and thrill of a Ford diesel engine.

Contemplated the new Innova Hycross too but I wanted a good 5 seater with great ride experience.

Also explored VW and Skoda but somehow after I test drove Jeep Compass, I just fell in love with it. Test drove the Model S top variant AT yesterday and I completed my booking today in Hyderabad. Took a lot of negotiation and finally I was able to bring down the price and got a discount of close to 4.5 lacs on the final onroad price.

Booked the green colour and hopefully should get the delivery by next week. Booking experience was great and can't wait to get my hands on this beast.

I was wondering if I should have gone for the 4x4 model but then I won't be doing too much of offloading and in that sense 4x2 seemed capable enough to me. Any thoughts?

I will update once I get the delivery. Also any suggestions for third party PDI before I take the delivery? Also, I got a great deal while selling my Ecosport from one of the online portals. Waiting for next steps from them.

Re: Jeep Compass : Official Review

Hi. I've been strongly considering the base model Jeep Compass. The Sport variant, manual. While it ticks off most of the requirements, I am worried about the fact that it ships with only 2 airbags and also Jeep's aftersales-service.

I know Stellantis isn't leaving India but what if Jeep is pulled out? Is it a safe idea to spend that money into the Compass? Or do I send that money to someone else? Our driving needs are mostly weekend trips to the farmhouse about 80km, front and back and to random roadtrips of choice during holidays (I would have added trips to the university but that chapter's slowly closing in my life so)

So, here are my questions: -

1. Is it recommended to buy a diesel car today? Considering the hard-set battle against diesels on a legal scale?

2. If yes, is it safe to keep the car unused for long spells?

3. Is it a wise idea to consider the Compass in its base model or look elsewhere?

4. What to keep an eye out for in the Compass and Jeep's service in general?

5. Any alternates in the 20-25L region that can seat 3 at the back with no issues? For context, the purchasing region is in Salem, TN.

You got a nice deal out their. Happy ownership. What is the OTR price after all discounts.

Regarding third party PDI in Hyderabad, Zekardo is not available here but you can book a service with carvaidya, they did a good job in finding a paint job and mis alignment in bonnet.

The report is also comprehensive enough with several photos of the inspection.

If you are not a serious off roader, the 4 x 2 is better option as it weighs lesser (more mileage), has lesser components for any mechanical failures, etc. Even for those who like to off road, I am sure folks having luxury SUV like Range Rover or premium ones like Jeeps will not off road that much, with fear of scratches on paints, etc. Off roading seems to be more with the Thar or Jimmy, which are relatively cheaper. Jeep top end does not even have plastic cladding, it is all metal and with good quality paint.

I also went for 4 x 2 early September in Bangalore and happy. I know friends who did buy 4 x 4 Jeep compass but have never even used the 4 X 4 capability! It is almost like the ADAS features. Once the novelty goes away, only the blind spot and maybe the Adaptive Cruise control will continue to be used, while the other features are rarely used! Congrats on the purchase. It is one of the best handling SUVs, almost sedan like and good confidence for high speed drives too!

If you have a car to exchange, they were giving discounts up to 2.65 lakhs in August! I am not sure now. Please ask for Mr. Naveen in Sales. He was quite helpful.

Guys, if I get the brake pads and discs changed from outside, will that void my warranty? If yes, warranty for which part of the car ?

I cannot comment particularly about Jeep policy. But for most manufacturers it will void the warranty. Yes.

But again warranty is largely decided by the dealer too.

I think anything related to brake pad/disc or any complaints related to braking will not be accepted under warranty.

But why do you want to take this risk? Are you looking for better brake pads/discs or trying to save cost?
