Has anyone driven the XM variant? Or are there any pics available? Most of the people are canceling their XT booking and going for XM. Including me. It would be great if someone could share these details.
If XM looks bland as someone mentioned few pages back, then need to stretch and buy XT.
Either ways, Hexa it is!
So it would be great if someone could share the details!

Edit: on road price from prerana motors, Bangalore:-

For a moment, I thought, why a side by side pics of XUV500 and Hexa! Its that close :)

Its like a "Jeepification" on Hexa to be precise which is what copied over in few of the recent M&M UV's anyway.

Was wondering the same. From recent car purchases of friends and relatives, i can easily knock off 60 to 80k off XT (minus the TCS and insurance. Also transportation and registration in this case). And dealer has promised side steps as complementary after hard negotiations. So another 15-16k off.
Roughly 1L discount rite now. Will push hard for more with tata finance tomorrow!

Tata says that 60% of the initial bookings are for the Automatic variant - link to news.

Fantastic look! Hope tata takes a cue out of this :-)
It also tells about the scope for modifications to the original one!

I am planning to book XTA but I read some one quoting ARAI millage no. around 10 Kmpl for automatic variant where as manual is around 14.4 is it true . Based on my knowledge there should not be much difference in mileage with newer automatic gear boxes .

Hey Abhi. Is TML actually offering discounts on a product they just launched yesterday? If true, it's really surprising!

That seems to be right. The XTA I test drove was also showing 10 km/l on MID.

Tata Motors is officially countering the competition through this:

This variant-to-variant price comparison chart should give a much clearer perspective of how good the Hexa's pricing is, when compared to the Hyundai Creta on one side of the spectrum, to the Toyota Innova Crysta on the other.

All prices, ex-showroom Delhi.

- Comparative features across the range makes the Hexa XT in line with the XUV500 W8, hence placed accordingly.

- AT/AMT variants are highlighted in BOLD-Italics.

- Do note that the 2 Mahindras are the only cars in this chart that come with an AWD + AT option.

- The Innova Crysta and the Creta are the only 2 cars that are NOT offered with an AWD/4x4 option.

Actually, it should be obvious rather than surprising! Specially to people who have booked 2 to 3 months in advance.

That HAS to be used as leverage to ask for discounts. Else, what would be the difference between us and the ones who come and book now after launch? Only thing being quicker delivery.

This got me thinking. Are the dealers, deep down inside, jittery about people deserting the Hexa after expressing interest or pre-booking? Are the dealers really not too confident about the product and its market potential? Sure looks like it, if you are able to extract discounts at launch!

This is in effect what they pay the TA/DA for transportation guys, incentives to other officials, etc. which they cannot put in the books :) Most likely to see in small chain dealerships.
