I got such offers for fresh cars, much cheaper ones like Duster, Amaze and Nios. Totally depends on the dealer.

Please check out this video. Speaks volumes about the build quality, fit and finish of the Hexa. Disclaimer: video is in Hindi.

40,000 kms service update has nothing major to report and the Hexa is as comfortable and reliable as ever.

Total cost of service is 7100 which roughly includes 2800 for engine oil, 1000 for filter kit, 3300 for paid service and a few miscellaneous expenses.

The brake pads are fine. They said they would re-check again after 50k kms. The tyres are fine too for at least another 15k kms as of now. I love the 19 inchers for the elegance they add to the stance.

I usually ask the service folks to see if change of any parts of required. I am not worried about them trying to cheat me because luckily I found a dedicated honest team. Any one living near Kompally, Hyderabad can give their vehicles at Pranavi motors and give my reference. As I keep saying, the service experience with Tata has been the best for me so far, way better than Maruti and Hyundai. And except the first time, I have never been to the service center to check on them. The car is picked up and dropped. That's how trustworthy they are.

There are million scratches on the exterior but the interiors are as good as new and I have taken no notable extra care except just some normal cleaning. In fact I have never given the car for a water wash as to not waste water. There are no rattles and everything is solid.

Attaching a few pics!

Get the complete body rubbing done to get rid of scratches to keep the exterior as new as the interior. Keep going.

Wow! Your beast looks as good as new clap: This just reassures me to go ahead with the Hexa.

Hexa owners, couple of queries.

1. I wanted to know whether the Hexa comes with anti rust coat on the under body or do I need to get that done? Or should I ask the dealer to make it complimentary? Or get it done from 3M?

2. Also, is AMC worth it? I doubt we would be doing anything above 500-750 Km/month on average.

3. The dealer will be providing with the typical rubber mats as complimentary. Which mats would be ideal? The dealer was telling us to get lamination done for around 9k.

4. Anyone done ceramic coating here? Any idea about the cost? Any other alternative too will be ideal.

Will respond to these two:

2. AMC is structured based on time for service, and running. So even if you dont run much, you will still need to get the time-bound service done. The cost of AMC will cover these services. Hence go for it.

3. I personally dont find lamination of much use for own use cars - unless you go to areas where you pick up a lot of dust/dirt in your footwear and this lands up on the carpets.

I do end up having a fair amount of dust (but relatively clean since it is open ground) in the driver foot rest area. I have to brush+shampoo it but have not found it necessary to get a lamination done.

If it's only dust that you are afraid of, just avoid lamination. It robs the interiors of premium feel, and most importantly if water happens to get inside and sog the OEM carpets, you won't even know. The floorboard may get rusted over time.

Seems rich, coming from me, have already done it in the WagonR and Etios stupid: and the 10 year old WagonR already has the front carpets damp, but it's more of a necessity here as half of the time it's raining in Kerala
Try getting the new 5d,6d ,7d, ?d mats. The quilted ones atleast give a premium feel and it does 80% of the job that lamination does, plus can remove them for thorough cleaning.

Congrats on the Hexa.:)

Can you share information on the kind of discounts that you are being offered? Cars are in stock or are they being made on order?

We are interested only for a freshly baked Hexa. Build to order with delivery period of 20-25 days.
50k Cash Disc
50k Exchange bonus
15k Corporate Disc

Surprisingly they offered additional 25k exchange bonus, but low-balled the evaluation of my old car. So didn't make much of a difference.

Negotiations are still on.

There's around 3 lac discount on 2018 makes, and up to 1.5 lac on pre May 2019 makes.

Add to that, need to do hard bargaining as far as insurance is concerned.

Have you explored Tata's referral discount "Super Share"? It's a further cash discount of 15 K. If I am not wrong, its applicable on ex-showroom.:)

Well they did mention this referral scheme. But offered just 5k

On another note, our 2010 Dzire's insurance expires on 28th Dec. So we informed Maruti Insurance of the same. Mind you, in a matter of 2 days, 2 calls from Delhi, 1 from New India Assurance, 2 from Sai Service, and one from the Sai Service chap who does home pick up of cheque/documents. All this for a 7000 rupee premium of a 9 year old car.

Another million calls from Maruti in the past 2 years asking us to upgrade to ciaz/ertiga/s cross/brezza.

And on the other hand, we have Wasan Tata motors, its been 48 hours, 0 follow up for a customer waiting to plonk 2 million. Does anyone want to ask me if I'm surprised with TAMO's dismal sales figures?? rl:

All I keep in mind is GTOs thread/post where he mentioned not to skip on your preferred ride because of a stupid dealer.

Gold Club: A two year membership gives you special privileges like priority services and discounts. Fees for becoming a member are Rs.499/-.

Long term Hexa Manual variant owners, what's your feedback on the clutch and gearshift experience? Can live with it? Any regrets about not having gone for the automatic?
