Hence, unless you pull up this rubber plug from inside the tool compartment, you cannot insert the tommy bar to lower the stepney.

To steal the wheel, you need to take special efforts to access the clamp plate or chain, cut it, so as to drop the wheel out of the chassis.

Hope you are trying to mention butter here in that case it should be makkhan. Not sure if we call it Makkah in Mumbai :)

And yes Hexa's ride quality is best and specially with those 19" big wheels it looks really awesome. Brave decision from Tata to bypass 17", 18" and jumping directly to 19".

I have not bought the Hexa yet but I have been visiting a few dealers. Depending on the place and demand, the dealer is ready to give discounts. In Mumbai they were ready to discuss discounts on the insurance & accessories, but no commitment. So, the discount can be finalised at the time of booking/final payment. However, they refused to decrease the price of the vehicle. At one of the dealers in Assam, where sales are very less (10 bookings/3 deliveries), the SM was ready to give some dealer discount also in addition to the discount on the insurance and accessories. I managed to see the dealer price vis-a-vis MRP of the accessories. The dealer gets around 15-20% on the accessories. We should be able to get upto 10-15% with hard bargaining. On insurance, I believe we can get upto 30%.

Why I have decided not to buy Hexa after pre-booking with great enthusiasm (Is anyone taking a note from Tata Motors side for a free feedback!)

1. The dealership in Jamshedpur could not provide me with the model I was interested in, the Automatic.
2. For a 5 foot 6 inch person, the gear seemed miles away to operate.
3. From inside the vehicle it didn't give the same feel of space as it appears from outside, missed roominess.
4. While driving on a bad patch of road a lot of feedback/vibration was felt from the steering wheel. This was annoying (I know ladder-frame chassis has this problem, so what?)
5. Small touch-screen panel was a spoiler for such a big car, and that too without any inbuilt navigation system.
6. A good amount of effort while parking thanks to heavy steering, huge turning radius.
7. I read it's a heavy car, around 2.3 metric tonnes and that will kill fuel economy, tyres and the road where you drive! From the stable of Tata Motors where Jaguar (should I compare, but nothing wrong in taking a cue though) kind of feather light machines are produced.
8. For any SUV, although it's better in Hexa, the available boot space sucks! They make a 6-7 seater and keep boot space for 2 only!
9. AC blowers kept me reminding that they are working hard.
10. A vehicle without reverse gear safety lock, I missed this ..more so because the XT model has 6 gears.
11. I didn't experience but heard that it rolls at corners, a little bit more.
12. Tata brand is not easy to rely on, first hand experience with 2 cars, at least on durability and quality fronts (I wish to be proved wrong this time!)

I hope the proud Hexa owners wouldn't kill me. I'm eagerly waiting to change my opinion.

Individuals spotting cars is hardly a metric to gauge sales but I will also add my 2 cents since it does make for interesting insights. :D

For folks in Bangalore, my regular office commute is from Mahadevpura to Kadubeesanahalli junction on outer ring road. I do spot the new endeavor atleast 2-3 times a week on this stretch but yet to come across a single Fortuner despite being such a big hit in terms of volumes. I am yet to see a single Hexa on the same stretch except for the TD vehicle from Concorde at Kadubeesnaahli junction. Hardly reflecting the sales.

OT, somehow I see bangalore roads are flooded with XUVs hardly any exclusivity if you own one. Where as the same thing in Punjab/Haryana hardly any seen. I guess the tractor brand doesnt draw premiumness in North India.
