Try using this button (circled in red) near the base of the speedometer, maybe long pressing it on the L/100km unit may change it to kmpl.

You have to press DISP button on steering, click multiple times which should land you at settings. There is option to toggle L/100 to KMPL. You cannot make these changes while the car is in motion as settings is disabled.

This worked. Thanks and couple of doubts:

1) When i went thro the manual, it is mentioned to touch unpainted metal part before opening fuel lid to remove static electricity to avoid fire hazard. Is that for us or to the fuel pump representative?
2) Avg. fuel consumption - Is it based on last 15 min actual driving distance?
3) How do we come to know that there is an upgrade to the touchscreen unit software?
4) Does it have only 1 USB drive port?
5) Do rear wiper has washer?
6) Is the washer liquid = water? If not, where can i get it to topup?
7) I dont hear auto door lock sound once i start driving. Won't it auto lock after 5km/hr speed?

Most of these questions are answered in the manual.

That bit of pontification aside, let me see if I can give you some answers inline.

For whoever is filling up. IMO, not a very big issue in the southern parts of the country but it is possible for sparking to occur due to static electricity.

From the beginning of this drive

3) How do we come to know that there is an upgrade to the touchscreen unit software?

No real way AFAIK. The ASC updates it as it becomes available. You find out when your phone no longer connects on bluetooth.

4) Does it have only 1 USB drive port?

2. One on the back of the center hand rest.

5) Do rear wiper has washer?

Yes. Twist the RHS stalk away from you. Also has an icon on the stalk indicating that.

6) Is the washer liquid = water? If not, where can i get it to topup?

There is a washer fluid.
All ASCs of all manufacturers are famous for charging you about ₹ 120 for 50 ml for adding it.

You can get a full bottle for about 200. I use this

Sonax 371141 Clear View Windscreen Washer

Or add a sachet of shampoo to a full container of water.

7) I dont hear auto door lock sound once i start driving. Won't it auto lock after 5km/hr speed?

I dont know if this feature has been introduced now but in my Vx this is not there. If you want it you can get a Chinese OBD add on to do it. I have it on my Jazz.

If you wish to use water, then I would recommend adding a cap of Lizol or related product for every half-bucket of water you use in place of wiper fluid. That is what we do with our own Innova Crysta all the time and it works as good as the wiper fluid.

Of course! It is your car!

But a mild surfactant helps clean the windshield and keep it clean. Like I said a shampoo satchet willdo just fine

Regarding NVH of the Crysta:

Over the last few weeks due to lot of travelling, I got to be driven around in four different Innova Crystas and three Innovas. Each of them sounded differently and I couldnt understand this. Of course they had different kms on the odo ranging from 37k Crysta which was the most silent, to a the Innovas around 150k kms and then a Crysta at 175k kms which had a clatter similar to my car at 14k kms. Have any of you observed the same? What could be a reason for this difference? It was definitely not the clatter of a cold engine since I have spent at least 100kms on each car. Even the Innovas I travelled in had different levels of engine noise, different turbo whistle. Of course none of the cars had engine work done which is expected but this engine sound difference really puzzled me.

The 37k kms run Crysta had an engine note of the Etios which was very silent and refined which made me think my car had some issue. But the rest of the Innovas had a similar engine note as mine.

Any chance the 37k kms run Crysta had aftermarket damping done and/or floor lamination done? Then it’s possible that the NVH was lower compared to the other Crysta’s.

Also were the Crystas BS4 or BS6?

These were all cabs and am pretty sure its not about damping. The 37k kms Crysta was a BS6 manual and there was another Crysta with 39k kms which was also BS6, but the first one hardly had diesel clatter and was silent while the latter was having higher noise. But yeah floor lamination was present on both cars. The NVH when windows rolled up was same in all cars. But the prominent difference was in the way the engine sounded.

One quick question on the roof carrier - I plan to go for TGA roof carrier, but strangely the service advisor was against recommending the same. He said it will lead to rattles and squeaks apart from not so good aesthetics !!!

I tend to travel with 6 adults + luggage frequently. I believed the TGA carrier would be comparatively better choice than after market carriers like the roof hugging slim carriers which look aesthetically good, but not sure about their quality & performance.

Any suggestions please.

Get a roof box and bars from reputed brand like Thule,Farad. They will be bit more expensive but are aerodynamic, have good after sales support and looks good too.

As mentioned by BHPian CEF_Beasts, I suspect the service schedule. Though not sure, but it seems to be the only thing differentiating factor IMHO.

Guys, for new facelift Crysta, what is the size of Fog lamp it takes? The stock cutout in GX looks a bit small than standard 3 inch fog lamps.

Confused after seeing these pics:

This looks like 3 inch fog but not sure if its OE or the shroud has been cut to accommodate it:

ZX ones look way too small:
