The 3.2 Endeavour does 0 to 100 kmphr in about 11.3 seconds, marginally faster than the Fortuner which is about 12 seconds.

My Endeavour 3.2 litre has completed about 30,000 Kms and has no issues at all so far except a few minor issues which were resolved. I am completing about 4 years, I have warranty up to 5 years currently. Thinking about taking warranty for 6th year; cost would be about 50k. Is it worth it?
Please share your thoughts.
Thanks
Definitely worth it as the parts will be expensive.
Think of it as an insurance

I am placing order for HB3/9005 for headlamp,
can I purchase H8 for this for Fog Lamps? Will they fit or do you have any other suggestions for me?

You can use the same type of bulb in your fogs. Infact, most LED bulbs can fit in the fog lamp housing as long as they are waterproof. Choose the H8/H11/H16 socket type. But mind you, these are 6000k lights and may not offer much in terms of visibility in fog. Your profile says Noida and since you may experience fog during winter months, you may have to use yellow bulbs or switch to the stock fog bulbs when required, which is a 5 mins job.

Another option is to go for tri-colour LEDs. Posting a link below. I installed these in a friend's Endeavour recently and they are really good. You can choose between white, warm and yellow depending on the prevailing conditions. If you switch them ON and OFF quickly, the bulb will cycle between the 3 colours.

I think you and I purchased around the same time and have a similar mileage. I too have 5th year extended warranty but I am not sure I will go for 6th year, given that at the current rate I may perhaps do another 10 - 15 k max in the next 2 years. Not sure it is worth paying for the 6th year.

Re: Ford Endeavour : Official Review

The latest version of Sync 3 is version 3.3.

I currently have the Sync 3 version 3.0 which I updated from version 2.3
by usb mode (Ford Endeavour 2017 model). Now Ford India has stopped the updates through usb.

Has anyone tried or updated their Sync 3 through service center? Any feedback? I would love to have the latest version.

USB Method was much easier and the best way to update.

Service Center's are not willing to provide Sync update. As usual when it comes to Software updates, they are simply not willing to do it.
I think its time we raise combine complaint or something similar to Ford to resolve the issue.

I had my 40k service earlier this month and as usual everything was great but software update.
They simply said, it will take time, and its not necessary to do it, car will run the same.

Currently the Sync updates are provided through Over the Air update right? If I remember correctly, I got an update through OTA

Hi,

I am facing the exact issue. This has happened in my 2.2 endy 7-8 times in 19K Kms I hace driven.. it is a strong Nokia mobile type vibration in the accelerator/floor side..
Lasts about 2-3 seconds. And yes it is when RPMs are on the higher side.

Did you find the root cause and if you did what is the resolution.

PS: this is my 1st post on team-bhp.

Software updates seem to be a very weak area of Ford Service. I have been trying to get my Endy 2.2 Titanium's Navigation Maps Database updated for the last several months in vain. The latest map database available on Ford's website is Q4-2018. But my database seems to be of 2017 vintage which does not have many roads and expressways commissioned during the last 3 years. Kaikan Ford service center in Kolkata have so far made 7 attempts to update my maps database but failed every time. As regards the present version, nobody knows what it is because my car's display is not showing anything against "Map Database Version" and "POI Database Version" (see picture below). It has been like this ever since I bought my Endy in April 2018 and Ford Service continues to scratch their collective heads trying to figure out how to rectify this and install the latest version after 7 failed attempts made over the last 6 months.

As regards SYNC update, I have not faced much difficulty in getting it updated at Ford Service. I had SYNC-3 right from the beginning and now I have Version 3.0, Build 19205 which probably is the latest.

My Endy does have a provision to update software over WiFi but it seems it is there for cosmetic reasons only. I tried more than a dozen times but nothing got downloaded. I have now given up trying.

Latest Sync 3 version is 3.3 and not 3.0 (in India).
In some other countries latest version of Sync 3 is version 3.4.

Re: Ford Endeavour : Official Review

ODO : 26,000 km; Age : 1 year 10 months : My Endeavour 2.2 AT Titanium suffered the first failure of an important part - the IRVM. The auto dimming feature of the internal rear view mirror stopped working. The part which costs around Rs 9,000 was changed free of cost under warranty.

The only other components which have failed are wheel lug nuts -- as is well-known, these lug nuts made of composite material often suffer delamination and swelling. In my Endy all lug nuts were replaced under warranty about a year ago.

2020 Ford Endeavour BS6 2.0 Diesel Review
Autocar India

Quote:
The Ford Endeavour will soon be launched in BS6 guise, but rather than an upgraded version of its existing engines, it has been fitted with an all-new 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine, codenamed 'Panther'. What's more, it also gets a 10-speed automatic gearbox, as well as a few cosmetic and equipment changes. Shapur Kotwal gets an exclusive first drive to tell you what it's all about.

Now since you mentioned, even my auto-dimming not working from sometime now.
I will get it fixed too.
