Re: Ford Endeavour : Official Review

The official revised price-list for Endy has not come out to the dealers yet, for the rest of the cars (except Mustang), it is available now. The dealers are recommending waiting through a couple of days till its made available OR offering a discount of about 2-2.5L if you were to buy now.

Guess there would be a surge of bookings and consequently longer waiting periods when this happens.

Good thing I waited for this !

Re: Ford Endeavour : Official Review

If the 1.5 lakh reduction no. is correct, Fortuner will be cheaper than Endeavour?
Yeah good going Ford.. that will surely kill off the rest of the sales!

Not quiet. This is the ex showroom price decrease without accounting for local taxes which will reduce on top of this. That is how you get the Rs3 lakh figure for Mumbai. There was 4% Octroi in Mumbai built into the ex-showroom price. And Local Body Tax in many other cities.

Per Rushlane, Ford Endeavour is supposed to get a massive 3.47L cut after the GST.

THis is wrong information. The news is saying that XUV500 is cheaper by 2.46L but actually the price reduction is around 60K for W8.

Damn it. Post GST Endeavour prices are still not out. Wonder what's taking them so long. Fortuner prices were out almost on day 1.

Re: Ford Endeavour : Official Review

Here we go.. Endeavour 4x4 AT 29.59 lakh. Fortuner 4x4 AT 29.17 lakh.
Does Ford really expect to do well with this pricing?

Just hope there are good discounts from day 1.

Then it seems the dealer doesn't want to sell me the car! I had booked by Endy only to cancel it to wait for GST. I called them in June asking to notify me once the GST rates are out and again last weekend asking for GST rates. And both time they assured me that I would be amongst the first to be contacted once they receive the revised prices. But till now there is nothing but radio silence from the dealer.

Thanks that's very helpful. Is this with the new additional 2% road tax?

Re: Ford Endeavour : Official Review

I don't think so - but I will check with the dealer. They have a significant markup on RTO here anyway so might be negotiable. Add the leeway they have on insurance, and there is perhaps scope for another 0.5 reduction here, so the Titanium 4x4 could be on road for 35.5 !

Still wondering though on why TCS is still applicable - shouldn't that be scrapped as well ?

So i made up my mind to book the Endeavour and I received the weirdest answer from the showroom. They have a April 2017 model in stock of the same colour and variant I want. I told them that's too old for me (in any case they are not offering any discount on it) so I want fresh stock and I am prepared to wait a month for delivery also. And I was told we cannot give you fresh stock. You have to take old stock. When I told them I will go to other vendors I was told in a very cool manner, 'your wish sir'.

TCS has nothing to do with GST. It's part of CBDT i.e. Income Tax. It can be adjusted in your returns while filing the taxes. It's just a trail on high value purchases.

Which showroom is this - sounds very strange - is this possibly because of surge in demand ?
