Tested the 3.2 L Titanium....

Only doubt is the quality and cost of the Ford After-sales.

My Rating : 7/10.
So did you book, or plan to?

I am closing on the other vehicle, but if they say black is back, I'm there...

I just can't get over the fact that the center console is almost vertical and so close to the driver (even when seat is all the way back) and therefore cannot view the (black-faced) controls in even twilight with headlights on! (As I drive always)

Even my Dicor center console angles forward towards the top and sits further forward as well - same with the Fortuner...

With the Tiguan coming in as a 5 seat, for me the Endy is the choice. Not a Toyota Fan so not really bothered about the new Fortuner.

Im 5' 5.5" so wasn't such a big issue for me and I would try to restrict myself to the wheel controls while driving haha.

Now to convince my dad

Re: Ford Endeavour : Official Review

Sorry for pitching in late! Excellent review!! I'm in love with this vehicle. Although Fortuner was excellent, it did seem old and was never a fan of it's looks. The Endy however, looks so proportionate. I think Ford is playing catch up after all these years, but at least they are going in the right direction (with the Figo Aspire, Figo and this).

Re: Ford Endeavour : Official Review

Due to a post in the Trailblazer thread, I decided to search Zauba quickly and found:

Date HS Code Description Origin Country Port of Discharge Unit Quantity Value (INR) Per Unit (INR)

4-Jan-201685299090FLA1N10E945AA-NAVIGATION(FOR ENDEAVOUR)- (SPARES FOR FURTHER MANUFACTURE)South KoreaChennai Air CargoNOS27513,799,280 50,179

Per unit cost 50k.

https://www.zauba.com/import-endeavour-hs-code.html

Are they importing windscreens/windshields for spares, or are they assembling the cars now?

Driveshafts??

software is mymapIndia.

Not sure if its worth the trouble!

I saw that too - but didn't wish to bring it up...

I thought 20"-ers were the upsize in other markets....

19" are snow-rated??

Re: Ford Endeavour : Official Review

Does this mean that there is an option to upgrade the 18 inchers? I hope there is without compromising ride quality

Re: Ford Endeavour : Official Review

Few questions/information after 250KM ride.

1. Clicking the 'Where I am" button shows me the GPS coordinates. Does that mean the infotainment system is GPS enabled? Can adding an SD card with MAPS enable navigation?

2. I like to cover the floor with complete floor mat - any suggestions or recommendations?

3. I see the car's turning radius is very less, and easy to turn. (anyone knows exact turning radius?)

4. How to drive in S mode? I am new to this. I have been using an i10 that has no S mode.

If you see the Price list I have attached, Matting and the Cargo liner are included in the on-road cost. Price - 10k

Re: Ford Endeavour : Official Review

Recently took a test drive of this machine. Loved the way the car handels and the suspension was also superb.

Interestingly while driving and holding the steering at 10 & 2 o'clock position, whenever I pressed/held it little harder the horn would sound. I am not sure if that is a feature or some issue with that test vehicle. Has anyone else noticed it?

Upsizing from 18" will definitely compromise ride quality but will improve handling.

Congratulations on you new Steed ,agbenny.
Please do share some pictures , booking experience and other details for the benefit of others.
Awaiting for the first ownership review from you

Regarding your enquiry:
GPS hardware is already installed , all you need is the sofware (maps)

To drive in S mode just move the gear shifter towards you and notch it up and down in the" + "and "-"

20" tyres feature in Titanium plus in Thailand and in Titanium for Australia. Even the Indian Reviewers wished for 20". I doubt ride quality will be affected too much. Don't know whay they planned for 19", not standard issue

Possibly just testing...

In any case, I think they are screening off/masking their normal CKD shipments from these portals - or they haven't imported CKDs so far at all!

I am sure you will not regret this decision.
Ford has a much better service network compared to Mitsubishi.
All the best
