Just imagine how good a Black Tiago JTP will be! TATA please make it happen please: |
+1.
Just in case you're listening TATA, lose the red Mickey Mouse ears. Red inserts look classy in plenty of places on a black car (callipers, grill lettering, cabin highlights etc.), mirrors aren't on that list.
Dear All,
Has anyone renewed insurance for 2nd year ?
1st year insurance was free from TATA.
I enquired and showroom are quoting close to 15.5K for TATA AIG and Royal Sundaram I know it will be little higher than buying outside. But, it seems if you buy from them they will help you in claiming insurance faster.
Kindly help me.
Thank you.
I’m must be the last one out here, but rating it a full 5! It shows how competent the product is. Hats off to Tata clap: The market has clearly rewarded Tata. If I were buying a hatch in this segment, it would be the Tiago for sure. The Santro just feels like a compromise.

Honestly I don't buy this speculation from rushlane.
Current gen Tiago also has some similarity with Altroz when viewed from side angle.
But apart from that Tata won't make it look any closer to Altroz, which would be priced about twice that of Tiago.
Reasone? Obvious.
It's just an attempt from RushLane to cash on the trending word 'Altroz' for social media postings.

You might be right. But, Harrier and Altroz are based on IMPACT 2.0. Both have design similarities when it comes to styling. Ofcourse Tata will be upgrading Tiago to IMPACT 2.0, and thus making it look more like Altroz. This is happening the world over with all car makers wanting the same design theme for all their cars. I am sure Tata too is thinking on similar lines.

Had a minor incident today in the office. While parking my car over the kerb (as shown in pic-1), at hardly 5-10 kmph, the plate kind of thing at the bottom front (don't know what to refer this) went over the kerb a little bit (plate kind of thing is shown in pic-2, highlighted). Since I heard a sound when it went over the kerb, I checked it immediately, and backed up a little bit, such that the plate is behind the kerb.
I knew about the kerb, but, I thought it'll be fine, since I knew that the front part of the car will go over the kerb. But, I was never aware that there will be something protruding out below, especially in the front part. :Frustrati
Now, my question are -
1) What is that plate for? Is it for supporting the front bumper?
2) I don't see any damage done to it, and it seems sturdy. Do I've anything to worry about? I know this is a silly question stupid:, especially, considering the speed of the car.
I am planning to pick up tiago xza from Orange Auto in Erragada at Hyderabad as I got the best quote from them. Any feedback on them?
Mods, apologies if this is not the right thread for this query.

Hi am also looking to pick up either a Santro or a Tiago XZA. Can you share your quote via PM since we are going OT. THANKS.
I have seen that many people are buying insulation sheets and installing them under the hood of Tiago. Please be very careful on choosing the insulation material. These sheets are subjected to high temperatures. Cheap sheets / pads may light up fire.
Always make sure that you use good brands, if at all you are planning to add insulation under the hood

Do you mean on the forum or off? I don't recall any aftermarket fitment posts; all are either done at A.S.S. or the OEM part ordered on Boodmo.

I don't recall any in our forum. There are many people who refers our forum for making their decision. Since Tiago is a vehicle where I have seen people preferring extra noise insulation, I thought that it will help someone.

I am planning to book Tiago NRG by end of March with Canyon Orange colour. Initial thought was to go for Nexon XM but for a couple of things I have dropped that idea. First was the budget (almost 2 lakhs more for Nexon) and secondly the risk involved in buying a big Tata car. The issue I have is the servicing quality. Tata cars are great. What if I do not get proper service, so this buy is like taking a chance with Tata for the first time. Overall reviews for Tiago are really good with plenty of hick ups regarding TATA servicing. I have driven Marutis and Hyundais all these years and one Honda Civic.
Any last minute opinions/ideas for me are highly appreciated. |
Hi. Recently my brother and a relative of mine, picked up Tiagos. My brother's Tiago XZ is holding up well and has not had any issues with servicing in the past one year. In my opinion, servicing is 2 days out of 365, in a year. I would rather bear the 2 days if the remaining year I enjoy the car I drive! Also, my dad owns a manza, he does not have any complains against the service. Tiago has been in market for more than 2 years now. So, all issues are mostly ironed out. In my opinion, Tiago would be a good choice. This is my first post on TBHP! clap:
My Tata dealer (I am buying a Tiago) claims that no Tata Dealers assist with registrations and they will handover the car with temporary registration and all the required dovuments. Subsequently, I will have to get the registration done on my own.
Is this the standard process or the dealer is taking me for a ride?
