Please find Baleno Accessories List with prices, uploaded by fellow BHPian abhik897. I believe these are Mumbai Nexa prices as on Nov 2015.

As per the SA, one cannot retro-fit Alpha's projector headlamps & the touchscreen smart play infotainment system (with Apple Car Play) on lower variants. Though one can very well add another 7 inch touchscreen system with reverse camera by Sony/JVC/Kenwood/etc.

I was told about such a list by the RM who proceeded to show me the same items which were on display in the showroom - the usual stuff like mats, covers, perfumes, etc. I didn't have things I wanted.

I will place an order in advance for the head unit if they are willing to sell me on but seems they don't as of now.

I remember seeing this post but it doesn't seem to have any prices or other items that usually get sold through dealers and not direct Maruti accessories.

Even the dealer here confirmed the same about the projectors but he was doubtful of the head unit. He said he would inquire but still hasn't got back with anything but I was really hoping they'd sell the head unit individually.

I don't think this is correct - I booked a Baleno Petrol Delta - Premium Silver on 2nd December, 23rd December I get a call from Nexa that they can deliver by 26th, I took the delivery on 28th.

30th December morning - a relative of mine called to inquire about the car as he was interested in booking one. I said I can ask my nexa manager if they have a spare one available. I got a call from Nexa in the evening that they can deliver a Red one next day and a booking was done the same day. By afternoon of the 31st he was handed over the keys.

PS: This was at Nexa Chandigarh and we did not know the dealership nor were we pressured to buy any accessories from Nexa, only accessory I drove out with were the mudflaps which cost Rs 790.

The reason why we agreed for a 2015 model was because I usually keep my cars a long time and the prices were going up from 1st January.

Has anyone brought these products online and can provide feedback for the same?
I did the mistake of buying the car cover of Autokart make .Size of the cover is ok but no separate enclosures for ORVM's and Antenna .The material too is flimsy

Re: Maruti Baleno : Official Review

Test drove the baleno yesterday,

A good car overall.

Negatives:

1. High speed stability is lacking, the car did not feel planted at 120 kmph. It swayed left and right a bit.
2. The diesel clatter was very audible in the cabin
3. All body panels had numerous dings. The side doors specially had a slew of undulations. I tried pressing the sheet metal softly with my finger at 3 different places on the car (test drive car after asking the SA). All 3 left a dimple. :( SA said that the sheet metal is made from new technology which is very light.

Point no. 3 alone drove me away from choosing the baleno for a friend as the car will not age well at all. In congested cities like gurgaon and delhi, it will start showing its age in 6 months and might get worse by the year end.

Whenever I spot a baleno, i deliberately stop to notice the condition of the doors, I have never seen a baleno till date with a smooth dent free door panel, even the car inside the showroom for display had a couple of dings.

Quite a shame for a car that has absolutely everything required to shake the segment.

I believe these are models manufactured before December mid. I dont think you took into account, the transit time for these vehicles. To South, they take between 2-3 weeks; not sure of Chandigarh though.

Did you try decoding the VIN to check the month of manufacturing? Again, Maruti sends additional cars to dealers and sometimes it need not be the color that has already booked by the customers. If the dealers have cars which are not booked, they'll be ready to sell that with no waiting period.

Is this news confirmed? I tried looking it up online, but I'm not able to find a link anywhere that a price increase is official.

Can someone please throw some light on this?

Yes, I've tracked the VIN and the car was manufactured in Dec-15. Transit time from Gurgaon/Manesar to Chandigarh is a couple of days but I don't think how this is relevant to the topic.

Re: Maruti Baleno : Official Review

Attaching a recent report on the annual maintenance shut down which is in the last week of Dec 2015.

http://www.mycarhelpline.com/index.p...1191&Itemid=10

The new piece of info I got is, Maruti has a bi-annual maintenance shut down procedure, one in Jun & the other in Dec. As per the report, the year end shut down is in the last week of Dec.

The relevance is that, even South India will get a car manufactured in the first or second week of Dec, after a 2 week transit period. Chandigarh looks a cake walk with respect to delivery, with the timelines you mentioned even if there is a plant shutdown. You might get a car manufactured as later as the 3rd week of December.

For additional reports on maintenance shut down, please use below.

Can anyone please provide contact details of higher ups in maruti/nexa (email, phone no.) where i can escalate the issue of late delivery of my Baleno ? I guess i'm running out of patience waiting delivery of my car.

What are the options i have to check the status of my booking. The dealer is not forthcoming with sharing any details on this front and is just asking me to wait.
