Advantage Baleno:

a) Automatic Transmission
b) Black interiors
c) Easy Maneuverability
d) Unique (at least for some time)

Advantage Ertiga

a) High Ground Clearance
b) Front seats offer superb view
c) With the third row seats folded, the boot becomes huge.
d) Rear A/C

Accessories added in my Baleno:

a) After market seat covers (Black and Silver combo)
b) Philips H4 LED headlights
c) 5 piece Rubber mats (on top of NEXA provided carpet mats)

Congratulations on your purchase, I have also booked Baleno Petrol MT Delta and waiting for the same.

Rajeev,

After seeing the picture you have attached i wad really shocked and felt that i misread this information for these many months.. Then suddenly i went to check my baleno and was shocked .. Attached is the picture
Attachment 1550821

How can this be possible that the same model car with two different specs for tire pressure..

There is only 1 difference "2.0" and "2.2". What does it referring to ?

I maintain a tyre pressure of 32 on both front and rear for my baleno alpha petrol as I thought 29 was too low. Please advise on whether it is ok to do so.

Manual says tyre pressure has to be 29 all round, I also assume that was a diesel car.

Do you guys suggest i should get a PDI done? any idea where the dockyard would be? when i asked my RM he dint seem quite happy to hear it and said it was outside mumbai. im not sure if i should take that trip.

Most customers don't know what is PDI, so RM don't expect this coming.
Most probably your RM will start registering the car even before you do the PDi.

I trusted my RM and there were no issues, but its your call.

3-4 days before delivery, they drive the car to a location somewhere in Lower Parel and park it underground in BMC parking.(This is for Lower Parel NEXA ), so no need to go to Bhiwandi.

As of now, I'll go ahead with what specs says, 29 all around. Because I feel if I increase the pressure then car will become more bouncy.

But surely in the near future, I'll try to increase to 30 or 31 and see how it goes. Also will consult with nexa and some tyre dealers.

I'm planning to make the booking tomorrow at Jayabheri Nexa, Gachibowli, Hyderabad - Delta CVT version.

I was on the lookout to replace my A-Star since October 2015 and Xcent and Baleno were primary contenders. Then Tata showcased the Nexon and got me thinking and then the waiting game began. But with Tata delaying the launch of its 2016 products, I am not prepared to wait for nearly a year more for the Nexon.

Also, my wife wants an automatic this time around and I prefer the CVT over other automatics. That makes my choice limited and mostly the Nexon will not have a CVT.

A few quick queries:
- Do the waiting times change as per the colour of the car chosen?
- What is included in the basic accessory kit that costs 6370?

I think they commit the waiting time based on a very conservative estimate and does not vary with color. If a previous person cancels and you are ok with going for another color you get the car. In my case I booked ray blue but compromised on color to get the car sooner (got a autumn orange)

The basic kit consists of
1. Mud flaps
2. Mats
3. Mobile charger with quick charge socket.
.4. Perfume

My NEXA Dealer said that the Basic Accessories include

1. Mud Flaps
2. Boot Mat
3. Driver Seat Cushion

In my case it is Zeta CVT, hence the basic accessories may change from model to model and Dealer to Dealer.

Anyways I have decided not to go in for the Basic Accessories.

Delivery of the car is on 15th September, eagerly awaiting for the delivery date and tomorrow I shall be doing the PDI.

2. FE has been 18-21 in the highways - I drive max speeds upto 120, and 15-17 in city. Observed that aggressive driving drastically reduces FE in this car.

15-17 in City? I see you to be in Bangalore, what kind of traffic you face in your daily commute? Do you get this FE consistently from day 1?
I am getting only 10Kmpl in city.

Mine is mostly moderate traffic - office commute is HSR to Electronic city 18 kms 2 way. Yes it's been consistently in this range. However I had to drive for a week on heavily congested ORR, FE was around 10-12 - maybe you drive in such traffic?

I have made the booking for Baleno Delta CVT yesterday.

Do we get any call, mail or message from Maruti confirming the booking?

It varies from dealer to dealer. I made booking in 2 dealers. One of them gave me confirmation while the other one didn't.

I cancelled the booking with the dealer who actually sent me confirmation :D It was due to some registration problems. (Delhi-Gurgaon)

Ok great. I drive in choking stop and go traffic, from BTM 1st stage -Koramangala-Domlur-MG Road. Only in the last hop I can breath a bit.

Can someone tell me the cost of Baleno Alpha variant tail lamps?

And, is it a direct fit onto a Zeta variant?

The price of the Maruti Baleno Alpha variant's tail lamp is Rs.5,250 per lamp for the left and right side. This is the MRP including taxes. I had mine replaced 3 months ago.
