On Ford's website, I can still see that it is available-

https://www.india.ford.com/owner/extended-warranty/

I recently got my gearbox repaired along with clutch and bearing and I had to pay only for the clutch and the bearing( total 8k out of approx bill of 50k). Shall post the details in a few days time.

I am eager to know the issues you faced with your Gear Box and what repairs did you carry out. I have been facing terrible times with the Gear Box and cables. It gets stuck on 1st or Reverse gear. Ford ASS advised to change the entire clutch assembly, which I did and paid 20K for the same. That hasnt resolved the problem and had to get it checked from a local mechanic. Such minor to medium level niggles assure me that a warranty extension is a must. However once I drive the car, these things are forgotten. Recently had a blast on Lonavla Ghats and then pulling it on Amby Valley Air Strip.

Re: Ford Figo : Official Review

Has anyone tried the new IndianOil fuel "XtraGreen" for the BS4 Figo 1.5Tdci?
I have been filling alternate full tanks of regular diesel and TurboJet from HP.

Anyone?

Your car was used by Autocar for their drag day episode? Just noticed from a clip they uploaded today.

Can't wait for that episode to be out and hpoe they didn't worsen the gearbox and clutch issues further.

Yes, they had put it against Polo TSI and wanted to go against the mighty Abarth as well. The video will be out in February.

There was a leakage of Gear Oil hence the issue in shifting. Entire clutch assembly was changed earlier so hope it should withstand an one off abuse (feel it should be able to take many) and be functional for minimum 50K KMs (fingers crossed)

Few pics from the Drag Race shoot. Like you, even I cant wait to watch the video. Apparently a lot many within Autocar are also eager to watch Figo S vs Polo TSI.

Is it possible to install Freestyle suspension kit in Figo 2018?

Re: Ford Figo : Official Review

Fellow Figo Owners,
I am looking at a 2016 Figo Titanium Petrol 1.5L Ti VCT pre owned car for 4.5L approx with 30K KMs on ODO. Is this a good deal?

My concern is with DCT transmission and if it would hold for another 3-4 years.

Any long term users of this face any issues? I could not find many reported issues unlike with VW DCT.

Re: Ford Figo : Official Review

Hello,

I have an Aspire Diesel Titanium 2018 MY, and it is making some weird whirring electrical current-like noise when I turn the key to ignition. This does not happen when I completely turn it off, but only after it reaches "I". I have a uploaded a video of the same to YouTube and pasted the link here. Someone kindly check it and tell me what could the issue be. The sound gets progressively reduced when I turn on park lamps then the headlamps and then the front and rear fog lamps. So could it be the battery?

Thank you, in advance.

Below is the link of the video uploaded by Autocar on Youtube. Figo S Diesel was surprisingly a lot quicker than a Polo TSI. However, more than the speed I appreciate the handling which is superior and sweeter over any other hatchback.

I watched it when it was out, was waiting for the same.
But, was wondering if both the cars would have been equal or if the Figo could have still beaten the Polo, if not for the remap.

Autocar had a drag race with Stock Figo Diesel & Polo TDI earlier. Figo Diesel have always been stronger especially in the mid range. The only point Polo can make is the weight and built making it a tad slower. Both are brilliant machines though, unfortunately both are unavailable for purchase as new.

Was the AC switched on? Cannot say conclusively but the noise is similar to the AC flap motor. This is a common problem with Ford and it will get rectified at the the A.S.S. Better get it checked and let the technicians provide a solution.

Sounds like a small fan running. Have you upgraded your headlights?
