Congratulations !!!

Which city? Sorry, I'm using the mobile app, so your city is not visible.
Also, is the on-road price after accounting all the discounts?
When I took delivery (Zeta 1.3) in Bangalore in August 2015, it came around 12.1 Lakhs (Including spoiler @6000).

That time there was no corporate/cash discount and the road tax of Bangalore is on higher side.

I20 is a premium hatch; Etios cross...I don't know what to say.

If the infotainment system, alloy wheel size, interiors, creature comforts of WR-V matches to SCross, then they still cannot be compared!! 1.6 MJD + engineering makes world of difference. And all the above cars except SCro falls into sub 4 meter segment. So SCro is altogether a different league & a segment on its own. Its a SEDAN + SUV crossover, not hatch + SUV or compact SUV!!

When you post this question in SCro ownership thread the answer will be obvious!! Post this in Ecosport, Avventura, Brezza, Duster, Etios & you can expect a no different answer!!
A look at what wrv diesel 1.5 vx offers in comparison to scross 1.3 zeta, both under 11.5 lac OTR

> Superior Engine Performance: Scross 1.3 performs decent enough but wrv has a better performing 1.5 in the same price
> Some other small add on - Sunroof, Multi Mode Rear View Camera, 8mm more ground clearance, exterior styling

Scross also has all disc brakes, better seats esp. at back and It may be next segment car.

Everything from features to price is closely matched for both. Its a bigger segment proper cross over vs better engine performance sub compact suv. Tough Decision in my opinion.

The WRV might have a better engine on paper but it's not fun to drive when compared to the 1.3 MJD. The 1.5 scores better on drive-ability but is too linearly tuned. The NVH is another story where both the cars are poles apart. The ride and handling is also better than the Jazz, so should be better than WRV as well. The interiors in S-Cross are also super, with soft touch plastics all around and Apple carplay / Android Auto is another nifty feature that the WRV lacks. And yes the S-Cross sits higher in the segment and is a global car.

PS: I drove my Parent's S-Cross 1.3 for over 1900 kms in 5 days when we did Delhi - Rajasthan trip recently. After a long time I was mighty impressed with a Maruti product.

That is a nice one mate!

Now, while you have brought both the cars under a nice bracket of under 11.5 lakhs, it would do more justice to see the exact on-road price difference. Again, that might not be much in Delhi, once you come to Bangalore, Chennai or Mumbai things become worse.

Comparing the ex-showroom prices, WR-V is more expensive by ~23k in Bangalore and Chennai and by over 55k in Mumbai. What is to be noted even more is, in all cities, S-Cross Zeta falls below 10 lakhs and WR-V above 10 lakhs. That would mean even more taxes for WR-V. So, the on-road price difference will be much more that the ex-showroom prices. So, when we bring Value for Money, WR-V is losing big time. Hope you get the drift.

Superior Engine Performance - I beg to differ. While the Honda's 1.5 iDTEC has lesser lag and more displacement, they are pretty evenly matched on Power and Torque figures. Coming to rev-happy nature and NVH, the DDiS200 is ahead of iDTEC. So with engine, I would say both are even.

For a feature loving Indian, sunroof is definitely a big pulling factor. No doubt. 8 mm extra ground clearance and more aggressive looks are also some attractions over S-Cross.

S-Cross's 4 discs, better build, dynamics are factors in favor of S-Cross.

Like I said above, prices are not as closely matched as it seems to be. Again, better engine is not an accurate portrayal. Sure, it is not a really easy decision to make - but not that tough either And Yes, to each his own.

1. Honda says premium only in pricing, while Maruti or Nexa is providing them in terms of experience + unmatched ASC, which is undisputed in India because buying is one time affair but maintenance is for lifetime
2. Again, like I said, I don't know about WR-V, but take SCross & you can ride it like a motorcycle!! I took the Vaniyambadi bridge on NH46 at 100+ with 3 adults & 2 kids on board, which not even Innova does & not even a Rapid does. That's the rock stability on SCross!! That's a very notorious bridge that curves progressively downwards & unless one is cautious, an incident is for sure.

And like TBhp review says, if its got to be SCross, its got to be 1.6 & you'll never regret the decision even if your wallet goes thinner.

Rest is up to you, since you asked this here in this thread, I can only highlight what SCro can do & not WR-V can do

I had the same dilemma for over few months but then reliable ASC, Nexa, 1.6 MJD, all wheel disc & getting out of the sub 4 meter segment, power to weight & torque per tonne ratio were important consideration to fall for 1.6. I weighted more into functional than cosmetics & last 4 days proved I made a sensible choice.

Good luck with your choice

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Been 3 months - it is a solid performer. Extremely satisfied with the Yoko tyres that I replaced the stock J&K with. It is the first diesel car I've owned and it is a pleasant surprise not having to tank up as often. Any word on the Android Auto update?

Did you mean engine noise? The MJD is not as refined as Hyundai's CRDi but it should be better than Honda's iDtec.

What about the tyres? Did you change the JK Elanzo tyres to something else?

Thank you Sree73, This is in Coimbatore. The given on-road price is that, after that I get the below discounts too!!!

I totally agree here. I did test drive the Jazz and the WR-V, but the NVH levels when compared to the S-Cross does not score much. The S-Cross feels much premium in the interior when compared to the Jazz and WR-V. The 1.3 MJD is a very capable engine and really fun to drive around in, but I cannot say the same about the WR-V or the Jazz.

How much were the Yoko tyres?? and how much did they exchange the JK tyres for? I am planning to change to Yoko too, and the dealer is quoting 6500/- per tyre for the Yoko....I haven't spoken to him about the JK Elanzo exchange.

Sticking with JK Elanzo; I know Michelin is good, but, don't want to spend on the tires now rather I would spend towards detailing the car. There're already minor swirl marks considering the fact, I'm using only microfiber cloth

Is the system getting updated to Android Auto as part of this?

Or just normal update to existing system to fix bugs / enhance performance?
