Seems like a nice deal I'd seen posts saying all 2015 stocks have been cleared by the Bangalore dealers so your car must really be one of the last ones in stock.
I was curious to know on road pricing in Bangalore. Thanks for the information.

Where are you located buddy?

I recently test drove the 1.6 again on open roads and just fell for it.

I am getting 2015 models only.

Care to share details. Please.

Thanks

I'm from Bangalore. I too went there with an intension of bargaining for a zeta, but 1.6 was irresistible at similar price. Though I'm missing out on cruise and FACC, I think 1.6 will take care of it

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Morning, as I reverse the car out of the garage, I hear a loud screeching noise! Alarmed, I get down and check, no visual signs of any problem. So I get back in and try to drive forward, inching slowly, expecting the noise to go away. Nope, it was very much there, louder now. It's a metal-to-metal or stone-to-metal kind of noise. So I park it back, take my trusted old Fiesta out and rush to work, since I was already running late.

I have called the Service Manager at Pratham Motors, where I had got the first servicing done. He assures that someone would get in touch with me shortly to try and diagnose the issue.

Although Pratham Motors Service Center is close to my place (2-3 Kms), I am not sure if I should drive the car to them risking any internal damage. So nothing to do but to wait for the call. Will post updates.

Meanwhile, has anyone faced a similar issue? What could it possibly be, any ideas?

Was the car washed yesterday by any chance?

Is this noise when you release the clutch and inch back which I suppose is with little pressure from the brake pedal too, right?

Anything stuck near the wheels/disc?

Hope its not the handbrake.

Any more guesses may increase your worries only.
Better to wait for MASS diagnosis.

Most probably it would be a small issue. Do not worry.

No. Rather, I did a 40 Km round trip to Whitefield and back last evening, it ran like a horse.

No. I drove in second gear too, I should have mentioned earlier.

That's exactly what I thought too; but no, could not notice any such thing.

Thanks for the diagnostic suggestions

Update: Have got a call from the Service Adviser that their technician would be coming to my place to check the car since it can not be moved. Now, waiting for the technician to call.

It could be a small stone chip stuck in between brake pads and the disc. It has happened to me on 3-4 occasions. If its that, it will be rectified once brakes are cleaned.

I certainly hope so.

Thanks for the reassurance.

Meanwhile the technician has turned up and is on the job.

The award for "Most Accurate Diagnosis" goes to BoneCollector!

It was a small stone from the freshly laid road in front of my house. Must have happened last evening when I parked for the night. Phew!

Must not forget to appreciate the prompt response from Pratham Motors!

When I checked for my friend with Kalyani Nexa, they were having 2 delta and 1 Zeta, all 1.6 2015 model.

I have faced the same issue as well, after going over a freshly laid road. A small stone got stuck and was giving some loud noise. Luckily when I took reverse, it fell down.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Any idea whether we can get leather wrapped (leather cover) steering wheel done for Zeta? If yes, any clue for any shop in Pune? I am inclined to have this one quickly done; but not impressed with the steering cover done later on by hand. The quality of steering wrapping on Alpha is good.

I got mine done at Nexa dealership only. They have done a commendable job I must say. Its almost as good as the one the Alpha. It costed me 890/- INR.

Zeta comes with leather wrapped steering wheel. My 1.6 has leather wrapped.
Have they removed this from 1.3 zeta?

1.3 Zeta never had leather wrapped steering wheel. Only 1.3 Alpha has all leather work, by default.
