Thanks Voyager for your follow-up and update. I was eagerly waiting to see your reply back on this issue . During my last two night drives I too faced this issue. The highway going dark, I was assuming that it was due to glare coming from oncoming vehicles, only to realise in a double lane that the tree top was getting lighted Thanks again it really helps. I will try myself to adjust it now!

1. The red paint of the bus can be gotten rid of by? Will a DIY waxing job be sufficient, or does it need polishing etc.
Yes a DIY waxing job would be sufficient.

2. I am hoping that the bumper cladding would not be too expensive to replace. Will speak to the SA, but wanted to check if someone had an idea of the costs.
Bumper cladding is always in stock with them and isn't very expensive either.

So after both these fix, You won't be able to see a spot, I have done it several times and its surprising how many times the bumper cladding have saved my car as well.

The dealership delayed the delivery because of temporary RTO number otherwise the NBS guys did a good job and entire procedure was quite smooth. The new additions to the refresh W8 version are the push button start, voice messaging system and passive keyless entry among others. These are welcome additions making the only omissions from W10 being sunroof, powered seat adjustment and the regeneration system.
Only downside were the post budget prices.
She's an absolutely powerful beast to drive.
Finally! Congratulations and Enjoy the beast, Passive keyless entry is a God's blessing isn't it? And your yet to explore the potential of the beast on the highways.

Hey tanveer yeah man finally she's home. Thanks for the wishes. Keyless entry is absolutely convenient and really useful. Waiting to get to the highway post 1000km. Let our cheetah's meet soon.
And thanks again for the help on the PDI.
Cheers.

Congratulations Sir.

This does make W8 a totally totally VFM variant. W10 wouldn't be a miss at all. With the price difference between W8 and W10, that amount can be used to get the AWD in W8 I guess.

Mahindra is surely getting the products revised to meet market dynamics. Should undercut Creta customers too.

Congratulations Vinit. The refresh variants are great. Even in W6 refresh that I got they brought in few features from W8 & its a total VFM :-)
I too am looking to cross the first 1K. Hope to complete it in this month :-)
Wishing you miles and miles of happy & safe driving.

Thanks for the wishes. That's absolutely true where value proposition is concerned and I've done exactly that by going in for the AWD. Hyundai is facing some serious competition with the value for money xuv and now with the AT W6 version especially for the autobox lovers.

Hey mun1shk thanks for your wishes and wish you the same as well. Totally agree with you there about the additions in the refresh versions. It may be mahindra's way of compensation for the increased post budget prices. Do share some pics of your cheetah and I'll be doing the same as well. What color is your cheetah.
Wish you many munching miles.

Hii madhu thanks for your wishes. Kashid is really beautiful and the drive there equally scenic. Do try to visit murud janjira and especially the fort if you haven't already been there. Have a great drive and awesome time.
Next week morning looking good from my side, let's see what tanveer has to say. looking forward to taking some good pictures of all the three cheetah's.

Thanks brother. Already compiling pictures for the ownership thread. I will be treating my 1000km as the running in period. With the latest technology in engine manufacturing and design it seems ample time. Also the quality of lubrication and materials used in engine manufacturing definitely help.
As per madhu who's free next weekend let's try to meet coming Saturday. Looking forward to seeing you guys.

Hii guys a small observation. While driving at nights in the xuv the blue ODO is reflected to a large extent on the windscreen. Is that normal for the xuv and if not is there a fix.
Cheers!

To All New-Age XUV owners,

Is there a 'Flasher Relay' in the XUV?

Has anyone changed the stock bulbs to LED's?

I have not noticed any obvious reflection. Neither from the ODO, nor from the lounge lighting. Infact, the cowl on top of the ODO is supposed to hide the reflection.

What do you mean by a "flasher relay"? I can hold the light stalk very lightly (up or down) to indicate that I am changing lanes.

On another note, I have trouble with my windshield washer pump. I keep pushing the wiper stalk towards me, and the water does not spray, but the wipers begin their standard 3 wipes. Been lucky so far, that this has not resulted in a scratch. What is more irritating, however, is that when the SA tries, it works properly! Last weekend, I even recorded a video to show this to him. Anyone else faced this issue, where the pump works intermittently, and figured a resolution? I have ensured that there is sufficient water in the washer tank.

Flasher Relay (Read indicators) does the job of preventing hyper-flashing when the regular OEM bulbs are changed to LED's. LED's consume less power.

The circuit thinks a bulb is blown and is consuming less power than required so it hyper-flashes. To prevent this the Relay is replaced to a solid state one.

I had tried replacing the indicators with LED's but there is no separate relay for flashers and is integrated into the BCM. So I can't change the bulbs to LED. See the video and you'll understand what i mean.

I intend to change to LED's so want to know of the XUV has a separate relay for flasher.

EDIT:

Can you post the video of the windscreen washer malfunctioning?
