Thanks buddy. I don't have model wise details but on W10, the current discounts are: 30,000 (Showroom Discount) + 15,000 (Exchange Bonus) + 10,000 (Corporate Discount) + got 12000 worth accessories free.

I have not driven the car much but I am already in love with the automatic gearbox. Now its so easy to drive in NCR traffic. I will post my detailed review in some time. As of now, posting 1-2 pics of Lake Side Brown color cheetah for everyone's reference.
Congratulations!!! The Cheetah indeed looks great in this new color plus the all black interiors
Could you pls confirm how much you paid for the side step. Last week I booked my Cheetah and I am told it would cost around 12k.

Happy Riding!!!

I paid ~10K for mine in March 2016. This was with Anant cars Bangalore. Not sure if this was the prevalent price then, or due to some overall price negotiations from my side.

The list price of the side step was Rs 10,500 back in Sept, 2016 at Sireesh Auto. I was offered a 10% discount on list prices on all accessories without asking. I guess you could negotiate for a bit more.

Btw, at Mahindra's official online accessory store, it is listed at Rs 10,363

Hello,

Has any of the W6 / W8 owners got reverse camera fitted on the tailgate (above the number plate), instead of having to drill a hole on the bumper?
If yes, how did you convince the SA to do that?

Would like the camera to be fixed in it's designated position rather than drilling a hole on the bumper.

I tried to get the camera fixed above the number plate in my W8, but my sales executive said Mahindra has not provided wiring to fix the camera and exact same was said by service center people during first service. Then I settled for camera fitted on the bumper by drilling a hole.

I was first told that wiring length is insufficient for fixing on tailgate, which sounded logical.
But I've been trying to convince them the last couple of days to find a way to do it.
And now I've started getting illogical excuses from them like..
- Can't drill out on tailgate as it may cause the boot door to bend
- Can be fixed on W8's tailgate but not on W6's

So it looks like I have to settle for the bumper drilling as well!

The camera that goes on the tail gate and the camera that goes in the bumper are different shaped ones. The tail gate camera has a small enclosure since it doesn't sit flush against the camera that goes in the rear bumper. I suspect the problem is that they are using a Non OE camera.

For my duster, the dealer tried to install the cheap bumper camera, but I insisted on him sourcing the original one that goes above the number plate on the rear door.

I was forced to install the camera on the bumper in my W8. this was in March 2016 in Bangalore. I was told that the camera available as an accessory was different from the OEM that came with W10, and it did not have the adequate wiring etc to be fitted near the rear number plate!

Re: 2015 Mahindra XUV500 Facelift : Official Review

Got the delivery of my Lakeside Brown W10 AT FWD Cheetah last evening. Overall experience with Anant Car Bangalore was great. Got a Pre-GST discount of 84k plus 10k of Corporate Discount. Bought the insurance thru Coverfox for an IDV of 17.5 lacs for 41.5k (as against 60k quoted by the dealership )
Drove around 50 km today and overall drive experience is great though I am kind of missing my Scorpio's Tall Boy stance. guess should come over it in next couple of days
The automatic Gearbox is a boon and got an immediate experience as i drove back home from Bannerghatta Road to HSR Layout in a bumper to bumper rush hour traffic.
Posting a couple of pics for now. Detailed drive experience to follow

Re: 2015 Mahindra XUV500 Facelift : Official Review

Help required: Wiper blade recommendation:
Given the poor quality of the M&M original wiper blades for XUV 5OO, I want to just go for some good after market wiper blades. A quick search on Amazon pulls up a number of brands all calling themselves premium. From your experience please advise of a good wiper that I could go for? Or is the M&M the best?

This query was discussed a while ago on this thread- Suggest to please use the search index to elicit responses.

From what I could quickly glean, 'Autofurnish F8 Series Premium Silicon Wiper Blades' on Amazon seemed to be a good bet as vouched by 2 members here.

Congrats! Nice color too. Yes, the automatic is one of the best decisions of my life. I too purchased from Anant Cars - decent guys. Enjoy the ride!
