Re: Maruti Ciaz : Official Review

Got our two ZXi AT landed at the dealer today, should get delivery tomorrow. Both are white in color. Had earlier boooked VXi+ AT but the dispatches were very slow and the dealer had no clarity on the delivery date.

Can anyone report what FE the AT is delivering in city conditions?

Thanks for the update! Is this avg in traffic with AC on? If so then it is decent considering that the car is a 4 speed AT. My Altis has a 4 speed AT and that returns just 7.5 FE albeit it has a more powerful/thirsty engine.

Yes it is an average FE with AC on in city driving. Guess the FE figures will stabilze at 12-13 km/l.

Re: Maruti Ciaz : Official Review

The Ciaz lands at the showroom and bank as usual playing the delay game. Walked right to the bank to see that they have not even opened the file. Past 10 days they have been just aimlessly collecting 1 document after the other. SBI grrr ...
Have been promised approval and payment in 2 days. Dealer needs 3 days for RTO work. So looks like car will take next Wednesday to reach me. Until then making do with the picture shot.

@ Visaster: Congratulation. It seems that this is the color (Glistening Gray)of choice for Diesel variants in Team-Bhp. Just got mine last week. (http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/offici...ml#post3598687) Did you check the manf date ? Mine happens to be Oct 2014. Hope you are able to take the beauty home soon.

Rajuputana - great buy...congrats!
This coming from a fellow Maruti loyalist to another.

As others have already stated, pls do post your ownership experience in more detail and start an ownership thread. Guess you are the first to show off his CIAZ!!

Re: Maruti Ciaz : Official Review

Got delivery yesterday in Pune. All I managed to get free is matting(pic attached) worth 2000 bucks, all other accessories seemed useless.

Re: Maruti Ciaz : Official Review

So Ciaz and India is not the only car/country getting the not so modern looking smartplay system. The special edition Grand Vitara in Italy gets the same too.

Agreed Nilesh , however IMO this still looks lot better than the HU provided in most of the cars in the same segment now a days.
Eg as mentioned by GTO in the official review the HU from the City definitely looks outdated & straight from the nineties.

Cheers,
pdma.

Re: Maruti Ciaz : Official Review

Will have more details in an upcoming ownership thread , but thought will quickly share the following details

Done 450 kms in over 2 days and all I can say is that I am impressed . There is a 2500 kms roundtrip coming up over the next 2 weeks , will share more details post that .

Turbo lag is no longer a major issue with this MJD in city traffic and the FE as you see in these pics is definitely impressive .

Re: Maruti Ciaz : Official Review

Congratulations Satya on the new car. That was quick I suppose. Read your ordeal with Amaze on the other thread. So, returning to Maruti Suzuki was probably the best logical call that you could take after your superb ownership experience of the Zen.

Wish all agonies are left behind and only great & joyful miles lie ahead. Waiting for the ownership thread.

Regards,
Saket

Congrats on the new car Since you have owned Amaze as well previously, a little bit of comparison between both on the engine front would be valuable.

Thanks for posting the pics and also confirming that you are writing a review too.

Wish you many happy miles on the Ciaz!!!

You mean to say the car was moving linearly without any turbo lag in city limits? Also under what conditions did you get these figures? It really is impressive

Congratulations Satya for the Ciaz. Let the numbers start rolling on the ODO now!

So, I and arun_josie were part of the running in for the Ciaz in our own respective rides - The Ertiga and the Linea.

It was a MJD "get-together" 2 days back clocking some miles on NICE Road-

And see how long the Ciaz looks!
