I have a 2017 CIAZ AT. The car has had a regular problem with broken Air Vents. Maruti-Suzuki has readily replaced the broken parts again and again under warranty. Now, the 2-year warranty is up and Kataria Maruti called up to say that this will be the last time they replace the ac vent on FOC basis as warranty has expired.

The breakage has more to do with bad quality than anything else. The same has also been acknowledged by the dealer. What are other Ciaz owners doing about it?

Living with it. Replaced it twice after warranty and then gave up. The Rear AC Vents are indeed very poor quality. I don't have any issues with the front vents. The only other issues,

- Android play is buggy at times
- Front Arm Rest Storage Compartment Lock gave in after 2 years. Keeps opening up in bad road jerks. I put some black tape on the lock mechanism as a Jugaad
- Door Water/Rain Seals or whatever you call it does not hold that tight over long usage. A Typical problem in cheaper cars.

Other than that, the car is holding good. Not much maintenance. Approaching 5 years and this will probably hold good with me for another 3-4 years.

Guys any idea how to retrofit the steering wheel controls in a vxi variant? Follow YouTube video link shows similar installation in a brezza. Since the video isn’t in detail and the guy didn’t share much over phone wonder how it is possible to get the same. I am from Kerala and the shop featured in the video is in Delhi. And our local shops have no idea about this modification.

The one thing I miss the most are the steering wheel controls. Currently made an alternate arrangement using a Bluetooth remote system bought from aliexpress.

The Ciaz now comes with hands-free boot opening feature Auto Trunk which is available as an accessory.

- This is available for only those versions of the Ciaz which already has an electronic boot release
- Price around 4000/- INR, inclusive of all
- Takes 30 mins to install
- Boot opens all the way up due to a mechanical extension inside. Small and hence does not effect not space
- I guess this is not recommended for versions with the spoiler, RS

Pretty convenient feature to have and an MGA, hence peace of mind. Thank You @wheelguy !

Seems like yesterday but it's 5 years now, the car is holding pretty good and ageing graciously.

Does anyone know the part number of the boot lid liner. The boot lid looks naked without it. Not sure if the current models have it factory fitted, but my 2017 car does not. Is something available off the shelf at maruti Suzuki or will it need a DIY to have a liner installed? Any leads are appreciated.

I checked with my SA, he does not have the part number, i checked in parts website like boodmo even there i couldn't find that. :Frustrati

Hi,

My Ciaz 1.5D parking sensor was not beeping upon reverse so today I took the car to MAS and they diagnosed that one sensor has gone dead out of four.
The non working Sensor was replaced under warranty. The new Sensor however has whitish colour and is easily visible on my stargaze blue colour. I enquired about it from the technician and he said that colour painted sensors are not available and if I want I will have to get it painted myself after paying money.

My car is almost a year old. My question is, are parking sensors really not available in different colours even from MAS?Maruti Ciaz : Official Review-img20200509122718.jpg

Sensors come in neutral colors and have to be painted.

Hey Guys,
So my Dad's Ciaz 1.3D had half a tank of fuel left last night. This morning he went down to get something and the fuel light was blinking and the indicator showed no fuel left.
Does the low fuel light blink normally? What could be the culprit here? Fearing a leak, we've kept it parked for now.

This weekend I went on a 177 km highway cruise on ring road in Hyderabad and completed a full circle of the city. Seems like the unbelievable mileage they claim in the brochures is possible!

Rat has bitten the fuel lines, same happened an year ago with my Ciaz 1.4 AT.

You can read here and couple posts above.

The sensors come in white and need to painted to match body colour.

Sensor error cropped up in my Ciaz 1.5 this march(just 2 days before lockdown) while regular warranty expires in Oct 2020; the Nexa SA informed during 30k service that one of the sensor was kaput and would need replacement.

He also said that the sensor will be painted to match body colour FOC under warranty. Take this up with the SA and the CCM/GM of the workshop or with the Maruti's TSM to ensure that the replacement sensor is painted under warranty.

Mine is a 2017 ciaz which did not come with a boot liner. It looked naked every time I opened the boot and quite an eyesore.

Not a single attach hole of the 2018+ ciaz liner aligned with my 2017 model. I had to attach it with 2m velcro and hot glue stick.

Maruti Ciaz : Official Review-whatsapp-image-20200820-7.24.20-pm.jpeg

Attached one side of the velcro to the liner and the other to the boot and lo and behold, the DIY is complete. Surprisingly, the velcro holds the liner very well. I was planning to drill a hole in the liner to attach it to the boot lever arms but it was not required. There are a total of 12 attach points in the liner.

I got a MGA spoiler for my Ciaz Diesel Alpha yesterday from the dealer. It's expensive at 9,990 but many parts (such as the light assembly) are imported from Japan.

Looks brilliant.
I have been told that it comes pre-colored. Is it true??

Has anyone installed spoiler as an add on accessory on Ciaz?

Any feedback? with regards to fitment of it by drilling holes, any potential rusting in those areas due to that, rattling in the long run etc.. Any inputs on this?

Avoid installation at Dealer's end. A lot of things can go wrong. It's entirely a hit or a miss situation. Firstly most of the dealers don't follow the procedure. Even if you force them to, there have been cases where issues have cropped up like water leakage or rust.

This is a primary reason why I avoided spoiler installation in my new car, despite being interested in it.

Also something for you to read: https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modif...ti-dealer.html

If you need a Ciaz with spoiler from Factory, you may consider Ciaz S. Looks good in person, not so great in pics. Also comes with all black interiors. Some pics of Ciaz S in White, belongs to my friend and BHPian sumitsinha0280:
