I thought the gauge must be defective but just to be sure took it to a petrol pump to double check. The pressure was in fact correct.
Really don't know what kind of pre delivery inspection these Maruti (Nexa) guys have done. Just wondering what the pressure must have been at the time of delivery :Frustrati |
Hi, this is pretty much a standard practice across most dealerships. They always over inflate the tires. This is done to ensure there are no tyre damage during transit and while being parked unused in their yards. Normally dealerships from where car deliveries are made do not have air pumps to check and maintain tyre pressures. It is always recommend to check tyre pressure immediately after taking delivery. The sales advisor should have told you this during delivery.
Unfortunately many people are not aware of this, and some have also had their tyres blown because of this.
Guys,
I recently saw the New Dzire in Maruti Showroom and I am really surprised to see the 5 speed AMT (Yes AMT, Not 4 speed AT) even in the Diesel variant. As I am on the lookout for Ciaz, I would just blindly go for it if they release Ciaz also with the same AMT gearbox for the Diesel variant. Does anyone have any information about the AMT gearbox for Ciaz diesel variant?
Thanks & Regards
Note : Admin, Please move this question to the proper page if necessary
The New Ciaz Facelift? If this is it, it certainly looks smashing. The DRLs will also double up as turn indicators when engaged. Authenticity is unknown about the same though.

This looks like Thailand number plate. So it should be some mod by owner
Hi Ciaz Owners, i have booked the Detla Diesel version on 30th may and expecting delivery on 9th June. I have seen lot of Ciaz cars with spare wheel mounted which indicates a higher than normal probability of stock tires being prone to puncture. Am i assuming this or is this true? Do you recommend changing the tires on the day of delivery?
Looks like dealers have started playing dirty tactics of keeping customers waiting with an eye on GST implementation from 1st July. I was promised delivery around mid of July and today after 20+ days of booking, the dealer told me that Maruti has stopped manufacturing Ciaz. Sounded fishy to me though. Anyone else with similar experience??

Might be. One of my colleagues was supposed to get the delivery on May 29th (Ciaz Petrol Mid Variant) but this has been postponed to 10th June.Did get the update from the dealer that the vehicle is in transit as of 6th June, not sure if they will commit to the date or will it get extended again.

No dealer seem to have the Alpha model available with them. Not even any remote hint of getting it before 30th June. They claim that Maruti has stopped the production on Ciaz (which I personally feel is a bluff) and they are not dispatching any orders. So I cancelled my booking today and went for alternative option.
May sound naive, but what would be dealer's interest due to GST? Are his margins increasing due to it? Won't additional invoice value to customer due to GST be passed on as is to customer?
I don't see any benefit for dealer by holding back deliveries.

Even I don't see any direct benefits. However, the confusion is around all the fuss that is created.

Can
THIS be the reason for delay? If yes you can't blame the dealer.
Also I don't see the changes for a proper face-lift, might be minor tweaks to stay high in competition.
Cheers!

Could be. It'd be rather good if any of this is true. But there is no official or unofficial confirmation on the same. lol:

No clarity on how the GST is going to effect, how ever my colleague checked with the dealer , he has informed that the car would be delivered tomorrow, will keep this thread updated if there is a change.
Looks like Ciaz is getting updates, like reported in this and another thread:
Minor updates - maybe to avoid cutting price post GST. So post GST, rather than reducing vehicle price by 7%, they will offer more features.
Features could be:
utility:
daylight running LEDs
rear fog lamps
rain sensing wipers
LED projector units
beautification:
bumper gets a dash of chrome
wood trim on the dashboard
features:
cruise control on the Zeta variants and above (possible)
1.0 Boosterjet engine
removal of SHVS
