On the day of delivery, I followed a simple process (before speaking to Maruti) - try running your infotainment system with remote - it would not work.

If it doesn't work - I was more or less inclined to believe it was not included.

+1 to that!!

Also quoting from the S-Cross official review:

Quote:
While the Delta variant gets a remote control for the audio system, owners of the Zeta and Alpha variants can download an app on their smartphone (available on Android & iOS), connect it to the infotainment system via Bluetooth and use their phone just like a remote control from the rear seat

Re: Maruti Ciaz : Official Review

What am I seeing here ? I can't believe my eyes.

Maruti Ciaz : Official Review-img_20170327_151449.jpg

This Top of the Line Ciaz RS is wearing Wheelcaps !!

Maruti Ciaz : Official Review-img_20170327_151510.jpg

How true is this ? Has Maruti forgot to place those 16" Alloys here ? Also, point to be noted is that, this car looked new though the car was bit dirty.

At the back it had Maruti Suzuki Badge. Refer the image below.

Looks like an aftermarket job on the MUL Ciaz.

The Nexa Ciaz won't have the Maruti Suzuki logo at all.

Maybe someone was trying the alloys of the Ciaz on a Dzire or something. Hence they swapped it temporarily. The wheels are old compared to the car and this is not OE.

Did you get a chance to see the interiors?? A genuine RS should have all black interiors. Also RS has been discontinued about two months back.

That wheelcap design looks from the old Maruti Swift Dzire. So the wheels are 14 inchers IMO. They look small too.

So may be someone has temporarily swapped wheels for trying out the alloys. A case of wheel theft also cannot be ruled here.

Way too many variables, but this is not an OEM thing for sure.

Shashi

NEXA Dealerships are yet to start sales of Ciaz. This has been bought from Regular Maruti Dealership.

That could be possible, but why would one do that on a much expensive & Premium car. I have seen many Ciaz RS' but they had Gunmetal Finish Alloys.

Yes, it had All Black Interiors. Maybe the dealer had RS Variant in stock & might have sold it.

Yes, they are from Old Swift, but I can't believe how one swapped much wider & bigger tires of Ciaz with these small ones of Swift.

Wheel theft is possible. But at the same time, has the dealer swapped tires before selling it to customer ? This is also possible na.

It can easily be done, as the PCDs are same. And I guess this change was done just for trying out the Ciaz alloys on some other swift, whose wheels we see here.

Possible, but too hard to believe.

One thing is for sure-This isn't OE. So its pointless IMO to discuss why and how on this topic any further.

Very much possible to fit the 16" wheels from Ciaz to the Swift.

Here's an image of the same :

EDIT:

These are DBHPian Sankar's Swift VDi. Best modification so far.

Re: Maruti Ciaz : Official Review

Subsidy for Ciaz (and Ertiga ) removed !!
This probably is going to hit sales for Ciaz - along with moving them to Nexa.

Anyway, they were not real hybrids, but just kind of marketing gimmick or to be technically correct, mild hybrid. Those who got discounts were really luck as they could get diesel cars at the price of petrol variants of competitors.

I am one of the lucky few !
Another advantage being of 15 years in RC registration, as compared to 10 years for diesel counterparts.

Re: Maruti Ciaz : Official Review

Guys

Anyone using a leather cleaner to maintain their seats on ZXi+ or ZDi+ variants ? I am confused by the variety and reviews available on amazon.in. Need your suggestion for the same. After going through a lot of reviews on amazon and some on team bhp , this is what i believe

Formula 1 Mr.Leather Spray Cleaner and Conditioner
Cost Apprx 350
Its economical , but at the same time , a lot of quantity is needed . Won't be able to clean hard spots. Also leaves a slippery surface for days

Meguiar's G7214 Gold Class Leather Cleaner and Conditioner
Cost Aprx 850
It costs almost double for what Formula 1 costs but is not able to clean and only a good conditioner

Turtle Wax; Luxe Leather Car Interior Cleaner & Conditioner
Cost Apprx 1800+
It costs around 5-6 times to what Formula 1 costs but not many reviews available

Armor All 10961US Leather Care Gel
Cost Apprx 500
Again, reviews mention that it is not able to clean but only gives a shine. Also not so good reviews on team bhp for some Armor products.

Zessta
Indian Product
Cost less than 200
Reviews mention that it cleans well but not sure of its conditioning qualities. Also the bottle and spray pump is that of a cheap quality.

Please help me to decide in case you are using any of the above already.

Re: Maruti Ciaz : Official Review

The Nexa site has been updated to include Ciaz. In addition to this the variants have also been changed to Nexa nomenclature. Link
A new blue colour is also seen. Must say Ciaz looks fabulous in the blue shade on computer screen. Hope it looks the same in real world too.
