My EcoSport too had faced one of the TPMS sensor going kaput. At first the FASC (Ford Authorised Service Centre) failed to diagnose, and just tried to deflate the tyre . After a thorough explanation, they finally decided to replace sensor FOC (Free Of Cost) under the standard warranty, not sure whether the same is covered under extended warranty.

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

Is it worth taking 5th and 6th year extended warranty at 23k for ford ecosport?

EW is always worth it, and always worth getting for as much offered. The radiator fan on mine failed a few months short of five years, replaced without a fuss under warranty.

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

My 2017 Petrol 1.5 Titanium(O) is completing 40,000kms as I write. Have been relying on FNG for service. Now considering to get the tyres replaced as the rubber has hardened quite a bit. Which brands should I consider, considering the low run and value for money as a big consideration. Thanks!

I am about to get my Ford Ecosport serviced for clocking 20,000km in 1year. The service center guys advised to get engine compartment cleaned and the ac duct cleaned which costs about Rs.3000. I don't know if these both are necessary for now.

The car's daily running is about 70km-80km. 50 percent usage on highways and 50 percent on city roads. The car runs all the time with the AC on.

Another issue that I face in my car is that it pulls itself slightly towards left on the long stretch of roads and needs correction if the steering is let go for 2 to 3 seconds. I heard the same from some of the owners but not convinced with the service center's reply to this issue stating alignment and balancing issue. I found this issue just 2 days after the balancing and alignment.

Please provide some insights about the confusions.

HAPPY MOTORING!!!
Do check for tyres being bubbled, I faced the same issue just after balancing, turns out 2 out of 4 had bubbled.

My 2021 Titanium S has done about 27000 km and I'm facing the exact same issue - pulls to the left when steering is let go for 2-3 seconds. I don't see any other symptom of misalignment or imbalance - tyre wear is even, no jerks, nothing at all.

Does it have anything to do with steering sensor calibration?

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

So much for stopping the production.

The biggest Ecosport (or maybe any car, I'm not sure) meet-up is set to happen this Sunday the 27th at Angamali, Kerala, which is organised by Ecosport Owners Club Kerala (EOCK).

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

I've got a query for Ecosport TDCi BS6 (manufactured Jan-2020 onwards) owners. Does your Ecosport have an engine cover installed (the one on the top of the engine)? I remember not seeing one on petrol Ecosport when I bought my TDCi Ecosport in Mar-2020; but I fail to remember if my TDCi Ecosport came with one !! Could Ecosport owners help me with this. TIA.

Hi RishikishK,

No engine cover for the BS6 TDCi mill

Mine is Feb2021 manufactured, came without an engine cover. From what I have read and heard the older engine cover also cannot be installed (I may be wrong though).

I too have the same issue. I have completed 20k km as well. Got the alignment checked 4 times in a month. Even changed my 20k run tyres to Michelin since I drive a lot on highways and was getting stressed. Still on respite. Please let us know if anyone can find a solution.

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

Team: I noticed that the radiator fan in my ecosport was pretty loud and told the service advisor about it during my regular service. The advisor told me there is a lot of 'play' in the fan assembly. The blades and the Fan flex and move quite a bit when pushed with my finger. Hence they recommended changing the whole fan + assembly. They are billing me 10k for the fan (Fan Motor Assy: Rs.7342.81 & Resistor Cooling fan: Rs.1580.09). Labor isn't included and is billed separately at 4.9k but includes all labor including the regular service. Is this reasonable? Mine is a 2017 Ecosport Trend variant that has run about 47k Kms.

The fan motor assembly cost seems right; I was quoted the same. However, my car was still under 5th year Warranty when the fan failed (looks like yours has failed around the same time) so everything was done without a charge to me. Do explore if you can buy 5th year Warranty.

The resistor cooling fan wasn't changed in my case. The labor cost for just the service is ~3k so looks like 2k for the fan replacement.

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

Has any EcosSport owner here installed damping in their doors?
Also want to know if anyone has upgraded the stock speakers and if there are any recommendation for the same.
With hybrid working started, I now have to drive close to 1-1.5hrs everyday so looking at getting better quality music out of the stock system.
I own a 2015 Petrol AT. Not keen on installing any amp / sub as want to keep the entire setup as close to stock as possible.

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

Anyone faced the issue of intermittent AC cooling?
Ecosport 2013 tdci

AC just stops cooling at low speeds or while idling.
- Condenser fan operation normal
- Refrigerant evacuated and refilled
- Condenser pressure washed
- When it blows warm air, the evaporator hose under the hood is warm to touch. ( Condenser fan running and engine idling high)

When AC is restarted, it starts blowing chilled air as usual.

I'm suspecting the following,
-bad electrical connection to AC clutch or compressor.
-bad AC High/low pressure switch
-bad expansion valve?
-compressor control valve?

As the doors are heavy don't get heavy damping sheets, put minimal damping if you are upgrading speakers. I have upgraded my stock speakers to blam relax 165 RX components coupled with Sony gs100 4 channel amplifier. Also got nakamichi processor as well. Don't upgrade speakers without the amp also minimal damping in ecosport is needed as doors will start squealing if doors are heavily damped.
This is how my ecosport sounds after the setup.
