Girish, meet Happy Roadie And if he doesn't post his pics on Friday, give him a nudge!

That said, the smoke grey is the former sea gray - which is a dark gray/cement grey that you see on Figos. That said, its a personal decision on your part: if you're looking for a flashy car, take the Mars Red. If you prefer muted and subdued, the smoke grey is one of the best choices.

Europe version except Great Britain gets a LHD
Mexico gets a Duratec 2.0 L gasoline 16V 145 PS (107 kW) engine
otherwise all eu models get;
A driver side knee airbag
Frameless wipers
Rain sensor
Automatic IRVM dimmer
A stitched leather trim cover for the handbrake lever
A DRL strip in the headlamps
three headrests on the rear seats
Trim parts have a premium piano black finish on the gear knob and sides of the console.
Alloy wheels are different(look awesome) and have a 17" alloy wheel

Ford of Brazil produces ecosports with a sunroofs so that option is also there for exports.

Boys happy to announce that I have booked my EcoSport today, Mars Red Titanium Diesel. Will get it by next weekend if everything falls in place.

As the price hike was imminent by Ford n Excise or both it made sense to book it now rather than wait for next year.

Went for Mars Red vs Smoke Grey finally just for one reason that the cladding color was not being distinct from car color in Grey but not in case of Red

Thanks for all the inputs till now. Will keep you posted.

Many congratulations. Red is indeed a very nice colour. By when will you get your Ecosport?

Guys, my Ecoboost is giving me only 7km +/- 0.5 Kms per lit, driven strictly within city limits. What is the mileage others are getting? My car is also being recalled . Will there be any improvement in the mileage? Mine is titanium+ version.
Thanks

Hi Ecoboost owners, can you please confirm if the turbo-charged petrol engine heats up the bonnet?

Err, all engines heat up the hood; its not just specific to ecoboost.

I have not put a cover on my spare wheel since I feel it looks good without it. But then it is pretty subjective.
I think the cover costs around Rs.13000/-. However there are covers available on Ebay for Rs.8000/- and I understand they are pretty similar to the original.

Please don't fall for eBay covers. They are made of fiber similar to what you get on body of cheap summer coolers. The hinges come off after a few hundred kms, and they look down right cheap with the chances that the color may not exactly match that of the car.

I've a gray car and got one such cover for 7500/- year back when i got my car. I regret not buying the original ford cover that looked for more solid and well done. Having spent 10lacs on a car, i feel stupid i tried to save 4k.

Useful? - Debatable! I think for the price of the cover, you can buy at least 2 tyres.
Looks? - Relative and Subjective.

Do I have it? - Yes
Would I buy it, if I had a second chance? - No

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

The spare wheel cover does the most precious duty of protecting the spare wheel & tyre from the elements(sun, rain, dust, wind).

Stupid Ford has given the 5th wheel as alloy too, so it is indispensable to protect it from the evil eyes around.

It is quite bulky too, which adds to the (already overflowing) SUVish nature of the car. The embossed ecosport in it removes a certain blandish nature of it, and hence quite indispensable.

Not to mention, a tiny Chinese lock hanging at the bottom.

Looks like it is worth all the 10k, eh?

Autocar UK has put the Eco-sport on the top 10 worst cars on sale!

http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/ne...-britain-today

How on earth is that possible? some thing we perceive as so good and desirable in india is rated as worst in UK? Cant really understand!

Don't worry! That might just be Autocar's way of making sure that they get the necessary contributions from Ford next year.
Of course, when they do something like this, like most other smooth talking people, they would also appear so legit. Sounds, familiar now, doesn't it?
