2. Any suggestions for good reverse gear audible indicators(the beep that comes when reverse gear is engaged and cautions people behind)? The usual ones are either based on bollywood songs or nursery rhymes/Bach/Beethoven classics. I feel the stately Ecosport deserves a majestic tune. Any suggestions? Thanks
There is a privacy mode . its easy to access, just one touch. Takes the call off speakers and to the phone.

Thanks niks_devil666. What I meant was - i would like the conversation to remain on speaker/mike, but would like to mute my end of the mike whenever required, so that my ambient noise doesn't get heard on the conf call. :-)

I did see a mute button once during a call. But am not sure. Will check and let you know.

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

A query on USB. I recently removed my USB from the slot to add new songs. After putting it back there, everything the car is started, USB starts indexing again and then gives an option to 'play all'. So effectively everytime it starts playing song no 1. This was not the case earlier. Is there any setting for this?

Although I've made my booking on 29th June, I am #12 in line for the AT and #8 in line for the 1.5P MT.
1 per month is not exactly believable, but it appears to be true that the number of AT dispatches are quite low. So what happens is, dealers have to allocate the "scare resource" against a "high demand". It is natural for them to overlook genuine ones in favour of "preferred customers". Without going into details, I can vouch for it, because I had to go through tremendous amount of fighting to get an AT allocated in spite of me being the first in the list.

The 1.5P is not exactly giving Ford enough profits, so I guess they are going slow with domestic sales. What you can probably do to help yourselves is be flexible with the colour, and if you are in real hurry consider shifting to diesel.

True that buddy. I've given my dealer 4 colour options as well. But i guess, will just have to wait wait and wait :(
The Terrano has been launched officially and its very disappointing compared to the Ecosport.

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

Guys, a little off topic, but considering that you are battling with delivery anxieties (of Ecosport, of course!) and dealer woes in general, thought I'll lighten the mood somewhat.

Couple of days ago I saw a white Ecosport which sported (no pun intended:-) ) a Trishul on it's hood and a "nama" (like the one we sport on our forehead after a pooja) on the top of the windshield! My eyes popped out in surprise and amusement.

Looked a little out of place on an city road. Would have been more at home in an "akhara" somewhere in the Himalayas .

I love the styling of the Ecosport, so this 'mod' was a little too much to digest.

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

Need some help on this, Got my VIN decoded by Wildon, its a Titanium 1.5D.
I find that there is a note mentioned as "Less Reverse Proximity Sensor", does this mean the rear parking sensor? Why is it mentioned as "Less", isn't this a feature in the Titanium version?

Dont worry you will get that feature, it is just written less in some cars.

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

The Front Fog lamps are retailing for around Rs 6,300/- (Fog lamp + Chrome cover) at Ford Showrooms.
Which is little on the higher side on my opinion!
Please let me know the reviews

Found an alternative at just Rs 720/- for fog lamps :-
http://autofurnish.com/p/1052/ford-e...p-set-of-2-pcs

AND

Rs 799 for the Chrome cover :-
http://www.ebay.in/itm/Ford-Eco-Spor...ht_1940wt_1037

In total the front fog lamps just cost Rs 1520/-
