Errm dude, that is not the odometer display. Odo does not have 1 or trip next to it. Should be something like this:

Press the left button on the cluster.

Thanks Gannu. Sorry for the confusion. It shows the odometer reading property.
I have also corrected the time(using the cluster buttons)

Ah-Ha!
Nice to hear that. Sorry your car price dropped to it's original value.

My guess is this is the same High IQ issue that Newton (or was it somebody else?) faced - and made a small opening and big opening for his cat and kitten!!

Please do not take offense on my comment. I am putting it lightly - but believe me when I say this - I have done worse - many, many times. Please do not expect me to list it out here. AND - I know of computer engineers who have worked for 4 hours to find a fault in a computer and all I did was to re-connect the plug!

Thanks Gannu, will check that out, thought it would be only a vcds tweak.

Thanks Graaja, but looks like the the module has to be permanently connected to the port doesn't it?

Hey Gannu, I was also thinking if it was possible to add a damper to the glove box, but aliexpress seems to have only RHS glove box dampers.

Yeah the glovebox doesn't readily have a provision to fit them. Get the damper used for the Toyota Camry's glove box and have it glued/screwed outside. Easier to install and works well. Part number - 55557-33030. eBay link.

I've ordered this damper along with a bunch of check valves (from Toyota as well) for the windshield washer tubes. The check valve will ensure that the nozzles will spray the water instantly when the stalk is pulled (since the water in the tube will not drain back into the reservoir). Usually it takes a few seconds for the water to spurt out since the water drains back into the reservoir.

Toyota parts in VW vehicle.

Gannu I cannot thank you enough for this! Haha. As long as it does what I want it to do, its fine! Already got the grab handle dampers, and odered the 12v illuminated ring will try to post a time lapsed videos of the DIY's if possible. Thanks again Gannu, you are the DIY king!

Unfortunately looks like they don't ship to India, asked a couple of sellers but they don't ship to India, Gannu of its not too much trouble where did you source the Toyota damper?

Re: Volkswagen Polo 1.2L GT TSI : Official Review

VW seem to have imported a Polo 1.0L TSI for testing purpose. Would they be launching it here? Not sure of their plans yet .

Could be displayed at the Auto Expo 2016 for a future India launch.

Interesting, wonder if it is to see the feasibility of using the 1.0 TSI for the upcoming compact sedan. Some testing related to that. With 95 HP power and 160nM Torque, would be perfect match to the compact sedan.

Re: Volkswagen Polo 1.2L GT TSI : Official Review

Hello guys,

Finally i get to be a part of this forum
I own a Nov 2013 TSI, done 24 k in the last to years (21 k was in April 2015, slowed down after I quit my job to study)

Heartfelt thanks to all the posts in this thread which helped me make a decision and maintain the vehicle.

My vehicle is a white coloured. The condition is stock with the exception Mudflaps and Floor Mats. There are few scratches though (Bonnet-kids in the locality A bike happily scraping the paint of my RH doors to move ahead & a Black vehicle kissing my rear bumper when it was parked outside my office)

Feels nice to be a part of the community.

A parting shot of Senorita taken in the monsoons

Only Rs 2 lakh! Even with a 200% margin they can make a ton of money and still be so much cheaper. Only if.

Its 20 lakhs dude !!

Even if VW offer 50% discount on this, it would still be quite expensive for a 1.0 L engine man.

Re: Volkswagen Polo 1.2L GT TSI : Official Review

Has anyone purchased the Polo GT TSi in recent time? Would you be able to share details of the OTR Price and offers if any?

I'm interested in the car and contemplating between a pre-owned 2013 model at around 6.5L or a 2016 model at 10L OTR Chennai.

Thanks.

I bought one at beginning of Nov in Mumbai under corporate registration. Following are the OTR details:

Ex showroom 8,83,261/-
Mumbai RTO 1,58,987/- (Would be half for individual reg)
Handling 6,900/-
3rd and 4th year ext warranty 13,231/-
3rd and 4th year ext RSA 3,382/-
Zero dep Bajaj allianz insurance 18,494/-
Corporate discount 3,000/-
Free mats and mud flaps 3,100/-

I did not negotiate except for free mats and mud flaps. There were no extra service charges for getting the registration done. Insurance was bought by my company admin. The dealer zero dep insurance was for 28k. I did not take any other accessory. Tyres are of Goodyear.
