Re: Tata Safari Storme : Official Review

I am surprised at the last point above .. slot in to 1st, let go of the clutch, and the vehicle will pull .. doesnt need any CRDE / DiCor engine. A simple TD will do that.

Besides the gear ratios, they also made the final drive (crown/pinon) ratio shorter from 3.73 to 4.3. This results in much better low end acceleration. Although the mhawk engine is only 120 people fine the Scorpio peppier only because of the shorter gearing. The draw back though is that at 120+ speeds, the Storme will run at a higher rpm than the older 2.2 VVTI safari.

I think the more important reason for the percieved peppiness is the lighter weight of the Scorp / XUV, as compared to the Safari twins.

No it won't. The 5th gear has been made taller(Check out the screenshot in the review)

Re: Tata Safari Storme : Official Review

Does anyone know if there is a hood deflector offered for the Storme - either by Tata Motors (as for the Safari Dicor) or by some aftermarket brand (like Carry Boy)? I tried looking but cannot find one anywhere.

@Avinash, TML gives either 3M or Weurth. Check prices outside at 3M outlets & decide. You could take the anti-rust.

Which T.AS.S ? and which location ?

@condor

I have given it at KHT brookefield ,its the same service center where I used to give my old 2.2 dicor. I guess they do 3M

by the way I got the Price money which I had won in the win for sure contest
Ipad mini worth Rs30500 , for which 30% (rs 9150)TDS had to be made

Avinash, try 3m marathalli. Better then getting it done at Tass.

Sun films are banned and cops are going after vehicles with the lightest of films. Hence I would suggest you refrain from installing those
If you need privacy or want to keep sun out, may I suggest roller curtains that roll with window glass. Many companies are making it, but I would suggest P8, probably is Korean, and set of four costs around 4200 in Jaipur.
