Nope. When I checked last week only the system had been launched, that too without any buy back options. They weren't sure when the stuff featured in the explorer edition would be launched. Do update if anyone comes to know as I am keen for the front nudge guard as well.

Apparently at TASS Pune , i saw lots of front shockers of stormes being replaced under warranty due to leakage in them.

A major component failure that so early after product launch makes QC questionable ?

It is rear, not front.

No, it's a pro-active replacement. My rear shocks were replaced even though there was no problem. It's one of the updates that was done, along with the door strikers.

Oh ok. I was told that they were leaking. They were front coil over shockers. They are also replacing coil springs.

Ah well the great retro shop of tml starts.

Checked out the Storme in the showroom today, they have taken the basic Safari body shell and bolted on the new bits, but it is definitely an improvement. The rear jump seats are very small, they are almost non-usable. The basic Storme comes with all the bells and whistles except the dashboard mounted clock

The bonnet is all new, with a prominent bulge in the middle, went mainly to check if the steering fouls with the leg while getting in, it didn't, I'm 5.8

Welcome to the club ! When are you getting it ? Why not EX ?

It should be fine. I had spoken to my SA before I got mine.

Between the Lx and Ex, arm rest is the only feature I'd miss. So didn't want to spend nearly a lakh more just on the ex showroom price. Should be getting it by Aug 1st week. Have asked for a june/jul model

Congratulations. I also have lx and I can tell you it's vfm. I went in for lx because the roof ac was hitting my head on driver n passenger seats.

Only thing I miss is fog lamps.

@narayan

Congrats and welcome to the gang. I am sure you won't regret. I went for the ex coz rear AC was a necessity and frankly can't live without arm rests on long drives.

@stormerider

Can't you get the fog lamps retro fitted? I have seen some LX guys successfully doing it!

They are not doing in Jaipur. As they are afraid of touching any wiring, seems as if tata guys have told them not to. And any aftermarket solution will void warranty and amc conditions as per them.
I remember ford guys installing fogs and replacing the rotary pull switch in our fiesta, but these guys are not at all ready to provide it as a genuine accessory.

Any help from anyone is most welcome.

Should be possible.
Though one reason for the hesitation on part of the A.S.S is the integration with the head-lamp control switch.

Thanks. Discount was 30k loyalty for owning a Vista + 9k corp discount + usual dealer freebies ( mats,mudflaps,perfume ). But there was a 7500 fee under logistics charges + registration on which dealer didn't budge.
