Not really, as i believe yours is 320d luxury line. Which makes your engine block as N47.
If it would have been 320i then its the same de-tuned N20 Block of the 328i.

This is how the Alpina B3 kit looks;
I've seen the kits but are there ways to just order parts of their kits. All I really want are black performance grills, a spoiler and maybe dual exhaust for my car. Thats about it. If I was to order these parts online via a 3rd party dealer, would BMW dealerships fit the parts for me or does this too void my warranty? And does the same apply if the parts I purchase made by bmw?

Check out United Customz Calcutta. He seems to have most things that you're looking for. I inquired about M Sport Bumper kit and his price is half of what the dealership quoted.
Check out his FB page. He's done some very good things to the new F30 320D. :)
I don't think the warranty is affected if you change the body kits/bumpers/spoiler etc. changing the alloys/tires will deprive you of the 1 year coverage by BMW Secure.
Changing The exhaust may affect your warranty, but BMW themselves offer a great sounding exhaust for 30k. Not a bad price to pay to keep your warranty intact.

A couple of threads out there (f30driver etc.) that talk about the differences between the 320i and 328i seem to suggest that the 320i has different part numbers for the pistons than the 328i. So one would need a piston swap and a software upgrade at the least.

The transmission is also different.
BMW recently offered to replace our current 330i that we got in 2010 for another model. Obviously our choice is the 328i (will miss the free revving 6 cylinder) but surprisingly they said that theres currently only one 328i in the whole country which is in white exterior and red leather, which is not to our taste.
How is this possible, one 328i in the whole country :Shockked:
What's worse the sales rep pointed out that probably BMW isn't bringing another 328i to India until another 6 months!
I was told to wait for a few days for an update on my request.
We had a similar problem while getting our 330i, it seems top end 3 series saloons are a harder to acquire that Ferraris and Lambos, in India.
Any help in this regard?

India gets only 50 cars a year. Considering how brilliant the car is, there's a wait list ;)
I suggest stick to the 6 cylinder machine. You will miss it !

I wouldn't suggest changing it. The 328i is great no doubt. But the inline 6 is something else. And the E90 is a much more involving drive too. Rather just get some nice upgrades for your 330i.
But yes, the 328i is in short supply, though I'm sure there will be more than one.
On karan561's thread someone said they just booked a 328i, maybe you can get in touch with them and see if there are any more.
The reason for accepting this offer of changing to 328i is that we've had suspension issue with our 330i since a long time, probably some manufacturing defect, which the service dept only recently figured out what the problem was and fixed it (apparently).
Moreover as much as I love the engine and that steering, we just can't bear to drive that stiff E90 sport set-up in the horrible roads of Bengal. I have driven the F30 and its a much better ride.

Try switching to normal tyres. It helps the ride quite a bit. The 328i has 18" wheels and will still crash into the bigger potholes with a thud just like the E90. Though the smaller bumps are taken much better.
I know its mostly to do with those low profiles, but compromising on sporty looks is another thing I can't bear to undertake. :D
I still feel an F30 with low profile tires has a better ride than an E90 with similar ones. (225/45 R18 on 328i against 225/45 R17 on the 330i)
The F30 also has the 3rd gen RFTs which though not yet a match for normal tires or good sports tires, are much much better than the older gen ones as far as ride goes.

The suspension too is softer.
Chris Harris drives the Alpina B3 on road and track. And he is very impressed by the overall package and the gorgeous twin-turbo straight-six engine engine.
The B3 rides on 20" wheels and is still a very supple car in comfort mode. And the car goes sideways with such grace! Enjoy! :thumbs up

The dealers in ggn/delhi had plenty of options around your posting date. I know because i was car shopping around that time. Your dealer was trying to clear his own stock.
