If it just a problem with the buttons , you can swap the shell with aftermarket one : https://www.amazon.in/KEYYOU-Button-...=1&ext_vrnc=hi

You could also try getting it fixed locally at any of the locksmith shops .
In one of the fobs the button for lock is gone but I can still reach the button on the PCB and press it with the edge of my fingernail. In the other however the button on the PCB is also gone so its a matter of time before the button on the PCB for the first one also goes. So swapping shell may not work for long. Does a complete fob really cost 5000?

Happened to me recently. The lock button (rubber/plastic) part broke.

Ordered a replacement fob from Amazon (https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B07...?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It is of good quality considering what you pay for it. You can swap the entire PCB, battery and the key from original fob. Simple and easy task. New one has been working fine for 2 weeks.

On the other hand, last month I was enquiring around Delhi for getting a flipped key made for Duster (as the fob button was broken). Everyone was asking close to Rs 3500 for 2013 model year. Apparently they cannot use the existing PCB and would have to code a new PCB.

Not required. I had made a flip key without changing the PCB. The item was available in ali express. But I guess they no longer deliver in india.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Finally crossed 215k ! Took a while though. Upto 200k kms nothing much mostly regular maintenance. Last 10k have had 2 breakdowns, a first as the car had never let me stranded. First the crdi ignition switch failed cost only 3.8k rupees to replace but my FNG Mechanic took almost 4 days to diagnose and replace it. Then I had a radiator fan relay failure which caused the engine to boil, this was on an outstation visit, so was a little trouble some. Still a great car and my family loves it, most more than newer Creta we own. My wife mostly drives it now and says it's driving dynamics are a lot better than Creta. The Dusty will be 6 this April. It's doing 1k kms average every month now

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Completed one year on 27 January 2021, celebrated the completion of 20,000 km almost in the same period with a short and quick trip to Jaisalmer. The car has been performing flawlessly. 3 services have been done. Switched to synthetic oil in third service.
A few pictures from the trip:

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Cross posting from Terrano thread, as this is an urgent query:

Quote:
Can any let me know which is the AC relay in the pic? I was trying to figure out from the terrano owners manual. Where nothing is mentioned about the fuse/relays on engine bay.
Pics are attached in the other thread:

Any inputs appreciated

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

I am facing a problem with my 2013 110PS Diesel Duster. It has made 1.8 Lakhs. Last week, while driving back home, I suddenly started noticing a noise from the engine. This was louder than normal. It started all of a sudden - I had slowed down near a toll booth and a few meters after the toll booth, I started noticing this noise. There are no engine lights that have come up. I've also noticed a loss in pick up, especially when going uphill from a stop.

A little worried as to what it might be. Experts, please help in identifying how serious the problem is.

This is probably an injector issue, which is a known problem in the Duster.

My 2012 Renault Duster 110 RXZ needs the AC Compressor to be replaced. Would anyone know with certainty who manufactures the compressor. Is it Sanden/Valeo etc?

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Can anyone suggest a good FNG for my duster AWD in Bangalore? Some place which is trustworthy and where they have sufficient experience on the duster. I am not facing any issues currently but want to stop relying on Trident Renault as I do not find them to be trustworthy.

Personally I have gone to Bay6, near Jail road, for routine oil service(nothing major). Mines a 110ps Terrano. But you have to specially mention any items that you want to be taken care off.

You could checkout FNGs under Bangalore tab in the forum for something closer.
