Hi Pawan, tail-light set cost me around 7000 Rs. It is not a simple plug and play fitment. They have jumbled all wires on both sides. The socket is same.

Also, there will be slight gap between light and body panel. So water tends to seep in. I sorted the issues with cellotape and 3M double sided tape.

How much did the grill cost? Did you buy it from Renault or outside?

Hi Anil,

What are the black things on the door (to protect the door I suppose) called? Where did you get yours and how much do they cost? Could you please post a picture of the car from the side so I can see that and what you have done to the rear quarter glass?

17mm nut size. Including the taxes, it (chevy spark wala) cost me Rs 189/-
Yes over the counter. Would be good if you can call them up and confirm it they have the part available before driving down.

PS: The chevy store keeper would need a spark registration number for the invoice but they dont seem to have a mechanism to confirm

Spanner size 17mm. I didn't have to buy so don't know the cost. I have a Spark and earlier had a Matiz, so had spare with me.

The horror story of a buyer from Mumbai. History does repeat itself. Again, and yet again.
Its amazing how dealers (irrespective of the auto companies they are affiliated with) work.

b. What ton - 2T or 3T?

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Installed RD box for my 85ps Duster. Drove for around 25Km.

My initial impression is, yes there is definitely a difference in the P1 mode for I could only try that in the short spin. Did engage P2 mode on the fly while I was driving in P1 mode and did feel a bit more extra surge. In P1 I felt the engine got a bit more quieter and was revving more freely now.

Rear bull bar

The rear bull bar I got fixed partially blocks the exhaust and that makes unsightly soot on the rear bumper. Any ideas to (1) replace with better bull bar which does not cause this and (2) how to clean the soot without affecting the paint. Thanks and cheers

Hi All,
Please share your 30K service bill. It will help me get the list of items replaces, items serviced and their respective costs.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

I changed my MRF tyres to Hankook Dynapro HL. Road grip and handling are much better than MRF.

I recently installed Menavrus firmware on my 2015 85BHP Duster RXL. Works great. Got it from mena.co website.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

I am facing a strange issue with my Duster.
From the past couple of weeks, the car starts only on the second crank. Nothing happens on the first crank, even if I prolong it. Its starts very easily on the second crank.

I got the battery checked, its in normal condition. The Renault service person does not have a proper answer.

Is anyone facing a similar issue or knows what could be the cause.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Well finally I got the rear nudge guard in my Duster replaced as (1) Trident/Whitefield Hyundai botched up fixing the old one when they body works was done resulting in exhaust getting blocked and (2) Ctrack's new nudge guard is a much better protection and does not block the exhaust! I got the work done in Coimbatore at 3rd Space Ram Nagar. Pretty neat work, cost me Rs5600; same thing quoted by renault Rs7500!

Yes, in future any bodywork at Bangalore for Renault unless it required proprietory part (tail lamp etc) I will go to Trent or other independent repairers. Whitefield Renault is just awful; they left paint sprays all over, did not do adequate masking, poor workmanship and way too expensive!

Cheers
