Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Can the Dusters clutch be upgraded to the clutch of AWD? If so how much does it cost? Is there any link to that?
Thanks in advance.

Here you go.This might help you out.
I have 3 more images, not able to upload them here.
Reason may be posting from mobile.
Alternately you can get those images under my facebook page with name 'Renault Duster India' or wait till tommorow will post them via laptop.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Thanks batterylow and hsr for your efforts. BHPians are really awesome. Yes, you get better results with 'Dacia Duster' in the search bar. hsr, I too got those images and these have sufficied say 90% of my requirements.
Theres a saying a Simulation world (btw I am a chemical Engineer who works with process simulations) " garbage in= garbage Out.

Actually, I am stuck with few dimensions such as winshield angle, rear angle etc (vital in replicating the actual situation) which are not easily avialble in the public domain.

The point is I am (read: my wife is) trying to put few addon devices which would infact improve its aerodynamics by reducing its serodynamic drag coefficient and hence help in increasing the fuel economies. I would be happy to share the results once its done.

Very tastefully modified Esu Junior. Looks clean & great.

Few questions :

1. What did you use for black chrome coating of grill ?

2. Does the 235/60 Marauder foul with the wheel well ? Any further modifications to accommodate it ?

Regards,

Pawan

For the steering control to work we need to buy an interface. I have pioneer 2790bt and with the steering control interface everything works fine. Only drawback I can answer the call but to end the call I have do it via the touchscreen.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Our 85PS Duster is ready to go in for the 40,000 km service

Any tips/pointers, must include items / must avoid things?

From here I see

Oil change, oil filter / air filter changes/cleaning would be done.

I already make it a point to specifically not include A/c disinfection, interior cleaning/teflon coat/anti rust coating/engine flushing(pushed by service stations).

I get the A/c disinfecting, interior cleaning, wheel alignment done outside - per schedule & only at places which specialize in the same (i.e. not at service)

Thanks in advance,

Ace.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Completed 20k service last week. ODO reading - 19270kms

Complaints - Hazard switch was not working which was replaced under warranty.

Replaced engine oil and all filters. Total cost - 6018/-.
Could have saved around 700/- if I opted out of 3M engine coating. Overall service experience @ Renault Kochi was quite good and car was delivered at the promised time.

Hi,
Did you opted for Synthetic oil. Because I chose mineral oil and cost for 10k kms servicing was 3k. If yes then do you feel any difference in the performance (Synthetic vs Mineral).

I opted for mineral oil only. If we choose synthetic the cost will go up by another 2K or so. SA tried his best to push me select Synthetic but I refused as there is no change in oil change/service interval. I am not sure about any performance difference between mineral vs synthetic

20k service is costlier than 10k as all filters (air, oil, fuel and a/c) need to be replaced

Alright Thanks.
May be you are right regarding the difference in the cost of 10k and 20 k kms service.
For your reference i am attaching the bill. My SA was also trying to push for Synthetic oil but once he saw the team bhp sticker he didn't try too hard.
