Renault recommend 29 psi on all 4 tires. Keep it at that.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Hey All!! Tried searching the thread, but could not find anything in regards to the 60/70000 service of duster. Our service centre in Ludhiana had given a list of things to be done including changing a few belts. The estimated budget given was 20000/-. Can anyone confirm whether this is true.
Thanks

The 60k service cost us about 17K. Brake pads, disks, brake fluid etc. was the major expense. Service done at Rajkot.

I was told that there is a schedule of changing the bearing, accy belt and coolant apart from the air and fuel filter on the 60000 service, for which I refused to get the accy belt and the bearing changed. Now the car has done 70000 km's. So my question was that should I get this changed now. I also did not understand, what they meant by the accy belt and which bearing were they talking about.

Regret the persistence, but if any Guru's could please share their thoughts on my query. It is very sad that I have to ask such a question, because of the dubious nature of our car dealerships. There should be a single transparent service manual or guide which we can follow. But seriously never heard of getting a bearing changed on the 60000 service.
Waiting for early revert back on this. Thanks.

Even I was told me in my 50K service, that this needs to be done at 60K. So not sure. Even I need to check. Looks like a standard practice. The SA also told me that the 60K service generally costs more.

Yes, you're right, Accy Belt Bearing was also changed in the 60k service. Its more precautionary than anything else. The accessory belt bearing must be the bearing in the accessory belt pulley which according to me drives either of the following things: AC Comp, Water Pump, Alternator, Power Steering Pump. We didn't ask why they were changing it but its best to get it changed and have no doubts in your mind about anything failing.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Need an urgent feedback guys... new 85 RXL or 110 RXL... Have to decide by tomorrow. Is there a turbo lag in the new 85 ps duster. And does it start giving power issues after 30-40k run.

My suggestion would be 110 rxl . I would not be able to compare it to 85ps but my 2 months experience with my 110 rxl has been absolutely great . It has performed really well in bumper to bumper traffic and highways . its supposed to be more fun to drive compared to 85ps and to me it does live upto that expectation .

Renault has tweaked the engine characteristics of both 85 and 110 ps when they launched the "New Generation Duster".

The new 110 ps Duster is a lot more livable in the city when compared to the old one, and out on the highways it's as fun as the old one.

The new 85ps Duster has lesser lag than the old one, however the 85ps engine is noticeably weaker and sounds coarser when compared to the 110ps.

I'd suggest you to buy the 110ps variant, as 85ps doesn't make sense to me anymore. And engines reliability- well, normally the Engine would be the last thing a Renault owner would be worried about.

Hi Duster Owners, could you please help me in helping my co-brother in upgrading the headlamp bulbs for his Renault Duster

Can someone help me with the Duster.

What is the type of bulb on Duster? Is it H7?

Assume it currently runs on some 60/55W. Can I upgrade the bulbs the same way into some good 100/90W for both High and Lo?

What are the options available on the same 100W for Duster?

Thanks so much.

If you are going to drive mainly in the city with occasional highway driving, you could also consider the petrol Duster. I own one and I am very happy with my car. I get a decent mileage and superb driving pleasure. And this has no turbo lag
