It's an easy fix. Just align it with the groove along the window glass. See picture.

This pic to show the effect of the visibility through net.The eye doesn't focus on the net when looking out so it blurs out. Pic thru DSLR might have done more justice.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

I've been planning to get the stock speakers upgraded, so I visited Motor Concepts, New Delhi over the weekend after having read good reviews on another thread.

I understand that the stock size is 5.25" and I was told that to install 6"+ speakers inside the door to retain the OEM look (OEM speaker grill with nothing protruding out), they would trim the OE speaker slot.

My question is has anyone tried this and is it advisable to do this? Has anyone faced any rattling or vibration from the speakers due to improper setting in the slot?

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Got the car back yesterday after the accident repair. They delivered it 10 days before the promised date which came as a surprise. The total amount (paid by insurance) is a whopping 2.24 Lakhs ! and I paid just 2k from pocket.

The cost of the spare parts is unimaginably high and I would suggest anyone buying a duster to get Zero Dip insurance.

Which variant did you book? It would be of great help if you could post the breakdown of the price as i am also in the same boat as you.

Congrats on the new purchase. I think pictures are in order. Us early bird duster owners really envy you. Duster AWD is the best thing that can happen to any new car owner. take care and drive safe.

It's the RXL (O). Alloys, Nav system, etc.

Appx mumbai
ex showroom 11,39k
registration 1,41k
comprehensive Ins 41k
zero dep 9k
Cash disc 70k
total 12,50k

They are throwing in some accessories like mats, cushions and stuff.
I'm interested in the front guard of the Adventure Edition.. costs 15k.
Any ideas about that New Rambo guard?

Thanks very much for your reply, are there any discounts running on the RXL+ apart from the ex-showroom price which was brought down under the 10 Lakh tax slab.
I was also given the same price for the guard and on inquiring about the body cladding he said the total price would be coming to 43k with the guard.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

I don't think there are any discounts on the plus variant.

Has anyone in the forum bought in one city and did first servicing in another? The dealer chap says confidently that it's indeed possible and is valid for all over the country.

Congrats on your purchase!!! Did you receive any discounts for the same.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Is it possible to switch off the music while still keeping the media-nav on (for the phone or GPS)? I know I can pause it but it switches itself on the moment I do an off-on with the ignition at a long red light or something like that. Any solution? If I take the pen drive off, it turns the radio on by default. What a pain sometimes.
