Hello gsurya,

According to cawale it will be only available in 110PS variant. It may be priced Rs. 1Lakh more than the standard 2WD 110PS variant.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

The Duster Adventure series (110 PS) has been out for a while now. I thought the Green color along with the dull metal alloys, bull bar with additional fog lamps smoked headlights etc. looked neat. Recently I read and someone also posted on this forum that Renault has also decided to bring out the Duster 85 PS, in the Adventure series.

Although the Duster looks nice with the Adventure modifications, I personally have not seen any Adventure series Dusters on the road. Has anyone in other cities seen sizable sightings of Duster Adventure series?

Any further updates on the 2014 Duster facelift being rolled out for the Indian market?

Although not the Adventure series, I must admit that in recent months I have seen many 'new' Dusters on the road.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Unlike #NeilRoy who is munching miles at a feverish pace and already got an awesome version 2.0 looks, with new shoe on his Duster. Kudos to you bro. I finally managed to make it to the 2nd service (10K) at approximate 12months time frame. The service cost and invoice details are pasted in my ownership report.

As, #Pawah also suggested my mileage is lower than usual, my Grey Hound had to be tested for some reassurances. So I got a mileage test done.

I saw a peak return of 23kmpl on the trip computer with AC On. My test pilot claimed he could return 25kmpl on ideal situations. Here is my review

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

I have finally received welcome kit on the" Gang of Dusters". On offer which caught my interest was the free coupon on "engine coating". Can you suggest if this is worth it even if it free.

The SA mentioned that it would take about 3-4 hours to do the job. I may go for it this weekend.

Another point - there is creaking sound once again on the rear when the 2 rear wheels pass through a uneven hump (when both wheels traverse on different ground levels). the 2nd service did not yield any results. Anyone facing a similar issue and how did the service folks fixe this. This issue seems to return after a short term fix usually done.

Yup, thats the Engine Lacring and Coating. It is just a spray they do from a aerosol can. But before, they need to prep the engine bay by cleaning off the dust. The coating is for water proofing and safe guarding the electrical in case of accidental splash. With monsoon approaching, it will be a good idea to go with it. Precaution is better than cure.

I was supposed to receive this kit a month back as per the customer care exec who called me. Have received nothing till now. What else is there in that kit? I was told we get some discount coupons for service in the kit.

I am facing this creaking sound. In my car's case, rear wheels does not have to necessarily travel on different ground level. Any hump will cause creaking sound. It seems to be coming from rear left door. Yet to take it service folks. It became more prevalent after 10 K service.

The kit comprises of the membership card. A few discount coupons for labour related to servicing, accessories, interior cleaning, etc. There are a couple of coupons for free car wash and the one coupon for free engine coating. In all a decent package.
All of these offers have a validity of one year.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Hello Friends. Strange thing happened with my Duster (85PS) yesterday. In the evening, when I was about to go for a drive, the car wouldn't go beyond 1500 rpm and the engine would just shut off . No warning light was coming either. Called up Renault Faridabad, they said if I could bring the vehicle to the service station, they would be able to check. Went to the service station keeping the rpm below 1500, which is approx. 9-10 kms from the house. The technicians tried to figure out the problem, but couldn't help. The car is still at the service station with no satisfactory answer. It has clocked only 36000 kms and a day before, the car was running perfectly fine. Anybody else came up with such a problem.

Hello jsing3,
Really sad to hear this. Did you talk to Murli Swamy ? He is the CEO of Vardhman cars Pvt. Ltd, which is the company owning Renault Faridabad. In case you need his direct number please do let me know. I was in talks with him related to my plan to buy Duster 85ps. Even I was contemplating to buy the 85ps. In case you can share your number, I will like to talk to you. I put up in Sector 11, Faridabad.

The whole issue with these modern cars is that the dealers have no clue about the issue if the OBD scanner gives a clean scan, These guys simply forget that car is still 85% mechanics and keep banging against the wall.

Please keep us posted about this issue.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Hi Harpreet...Thanks for info. I did not speak to Murli, but the DGM Service was good enough to address the issue immediately. Got the Duster back in the evening today and the service advisor told that there was a fault in the timing. This is a weird answer as the duster was running fine before without any problems and there was no indication in the ODO. They have told me to monitor the performance for a week and then give them the feedback about it. Let's see how it goes guys. Harpreet you can call me @9871696969.

First such report on the forum I believe. I've been following the Duster forum for a while, and haven't see this issue reported yet.
Not many have crossed the 35k mark on the odo either.

Looks like an issue with Turbo which kicks in at 1800rpm in 85ps. Do keep us posted on the progress.

I'd suggest its waste of money, unless you want to know the temperature inside the vehicle. This product will only turn on the A/C and blower. The product cannot control the air intake (outside/inside air) to change the quality of air. Neither can it switch to hot/cold air depending on needs. For me blower with A/C off and inside air circulation is suffocating. The feeling is compounded when the A/C was running a minute ago, I need outside air to refresh immediately.

The temperature is never a gauge of comfort inside a car. At same temperature you will feel cold while relaxed and hot when tensed. It is easier to fiddle with the knobs at such instances.
