Look at the facebook page of Scorpio and you can see rjstyles's scorpio there. Why facebook alone, I guess it was also on wiki.
You are right, no harm done, similarly someone on FB claimed my Scorpio to be his on the Scorpio Page.

I managed a last day booking of a Black W8 FWD. Wifey was fine with any color except red and green. Quite a few days wasted to convince ourselves out of the Cruze AT.
Mkumar, I prefer the current looks. The chrome did not appeal to me. The only mod that may go in would be the alloys.

Request mannubhai to post the same pic from his vehicle.
Shall do it in the course of the day ..

Please take this as a compliment. What i intend to say is that standing next to the beast augments your persona, so you give the look of a powerful man who can do anything in this world!

Cheers!
Hahaha ..Hitman ..like it .. The sheer presence of the car is awesome. Its pretty funny to be photographed by passing motorists, though you are not the intended subject, your car is :P

@mannubhai - Congrats.
It looks gorgeous.

Few queries.

Given the 200 mm height and the minimum distance you might have covered, did you encountered any issues with the notorious Bangalore humps . ?

Re: Mahindra XUV500 : Test Drive & Review

Can someone pls comment on the actual real world off-road performance of the XUV500, beyond the traditional AWD vs 4WD comparison. How far can the vehicle be pushed? Especially compared to the Suzuki Grand Vitaras that have been regulars at Desert Storm and Raid de Himalayas now (where I'd like to use it in Ndure / Adventure categories).

Sudev?

Well sir_sage, if its any consolation, you are not alone. At least you have a date. I booked on the 4th, and have heard nothing yet. Not even a date. The SE keeps telling me tomorrow, but I haven't received any information from M&M yet. :-(

Re: Mahindra XUV500 : Test Drive & Review

Got this mailer from M&M yesterday, despite the XUV being sold out. Good strategy to keep the prospects interested.

Get closer to driving the XUV500

Did you or were you able to take 0-dep ins? This is not offered readily by default in the quote given.
Did you take it from outside? How much did the insurance cost?
If you can share the complete details of the insurance, it would be very good.

Here the 0-dep ins is quoted by dealer at 9k higher than the standard.
I did NOT take the insurance offered by the dealer. I took it outside. I used the no claim bonus in my existing car which gave me an awesome deal. You need a good insurance guy who can help you with it, as im told it needs specific approvals .. I got it at a dirt cheap rate compared to the dealer quote. I have taken the insurance including a 2 lac cover for the 6 passengers.

Was off roading mostly in Blore city roads yesterday . I did not face any issues on clearance.

Hmmm I am yet to find another member who likes the chrome on the XUV.

Manoj, do you plan to fill normal diesel or the premium ones (Speed/Power Diesel)? What does the manual say?

Re: Mahindra XUV500 : Test Drive & Review

So many threads with in a short period on XUV500. Seems it is an awesome one. I am too slow in decision making. Let me wait for six months to see the performance and decide whether to buy or postpone the purchase.
