Planning to take up with customer service guys. Any inputs please
It looks like this is the design of the lamp if we change the lamp, the behavior may change. Those who have changed the lamp from the stock one can confirm.
Again, we dont want the light to go in all direction blinding the oncoming vehicles. I'm planning to put the HIDs and see if that helps with a longer throw without blinding the oncoming vehicles. I just need to take the H7s and ballasts from my old car and put them in XUV, adjust and see how much it suites to XUV. However, need to check with RM on warranty issues before I do this, or, I can ask him to do this for me if thats the better way to do it.

Guys,

Can anyone confirm that they can use a 16GB USB Drive in their XUV?

Mine acts very weird when using such sized drives! :S

I'm using one. Thats a Sandisk cruzer - 16GB. Works just fine for now.
I remember I tried to put 500gb drive to it but it couldnt recognize, either it wasnt formatted in FAT32 (I mean, one of the partitions) or thats beyond a number that this system can handle.

Record the conversation on your mobile and send it to Mahindra. These guys need some drastic corrective measures!!

This is almost a standard procedure in Punjab for Swift etc, especially during wedding season when lot of people need them to give away as part of marriage gifts, etc.

Re: Mahindra XUV500 : Test Drive & Review

I booked my XUV through Indiagarage on 18th June. I havent heard anything from the Mahindra yet. How does it work now? Will Mahindra or Indiagarage guys contact me and let me know the exact waiting period?

Anyone else booked in the June window? Did you guys hear anything from Mahindra or the dealer?

I have also booked on 11th June and even I am awaiting any approximate waiting period. No one has contacted (dealer or M&M). How much waiting has dealer quoted you by the way?

Even I have also booked in this June. I spoke to the dealer 2 days back, they are yet to receive the delivery date from Mahindra. He said delivery would most likely be in August only.

I booked on 17 June here at Sireesh auto, Bangalore. Dealer told me that waiting period is about 4-5 months. They have one tool from m&m containing information on customer records and booking. I took a snapshot of it and it shows a waiting of 16 weeks. They told that I will be updated in case of any change in waiting period.

Keeping my fingers crossed on xuv niggles.

Guys,i dont know how the delivery things are going on because in my city, the bookings started on 8th June and yesterday itself,4 XUVs were delivered! This is as per newspaper but i've seen a couple of brand new ones today.Pretty strange coz the people in other cities who have booked in 2nd booking window still are waiting for it.
