Yes, very religiously

Got a chance to drive my relative's new Vista Quadrajet last weekend. I really liked the car. This is the first time I drove a Vista. I loved driving this car on the twists and turns of Dakshina Kannada roads.

Small comparison of Vista with my i20 CRDi.
1. The view of the road is way better than i20. The dashboard is little higher in i20 whereas one gets excellent view in Vista
2. The leg space at the rear is too good.
2. The turbo lag is not noticeable.
3. Interior fit and finish is no match.
4. Boot space is relatively small.
5. NVH levels are on a higher side.
6. Gear shifts are not very smooth.
7. Steering feedback is relatively better.

I couldn't test the car more since I was in a hurry. But I definitely want to spend more time with this car.

Aggressive headlamp styling. Loved it.

Tata Indica Vista is nominated for European Car of the Year, see here:

I understand it may not be amongst the finalists, but, still it is commendable that it has been selected for the same.

Is Vista being sold in at least 5 European countries? This is news to me. Any idea which countries?

I think the Vista 90hp diesel is very close to launch. I had visited the plant today and came across so many Vista's with the Quadrajet 90 badging.

Did you see any differences between this Qjet90 and the regular Vista, externally and internally? There were rumours/speculations that this Vista will get the Manza dashboard, et al.

No change noticed on the outside.

Now that you mention it, yes, there was no centrally mounted instrument cluster !! :thumbs up. Can't believe I missed this :Frustrati. I also remember the dash being black and not purple !!

All these cars were all clean (all were the wine red / maroon colour) and looked like they were ready for dispatch.

You are right...this is what I saw...

So the December launch rumors are turning out to be true. Did you ask about the exact date?

See closely... its mentioned 15th Dec on the paper pyramid kept on the roof of the car.....

Heard from an SA in Prerana, Bangalore that some customers in Hyderabad has already taken delivery of Qjet 90. The car is yet to come to this dealer. The only thing he could confirm was the Manza interiors.

He said he was not sure of any suspension tweaks or other stuffs. Said he will email all details on Monday, didn't follow up. He didn't send either.

The Vista 90 QJD was up for Display in the Malik Cars showroom at Banjara Hills Road 1 (Hyderabad)

There are two variants. The Vx and Zx.
I like the black roof. The Vx is priced at a little under 6 lakhs ex-showroom.

The dashboard looks nice.
The SA told me that about 15 cars have been received and can be delivered rightaway.
Officially the car is being launched in January.

Introducing 90 bhp Qjd with VX trim is one of the most sensible decision by TATA in recent times.

Can give some serious competition to Figo Titanium and Sail UVA ‘s 2 top variants.

ACI says so!!!

Tata Motors has added another engine option to its Vista line-up.

A 88bhp 1.3-litre Quadrajet diesel motor will power the new variant known as the Vista Quadrajet 90. This powerplant is also available in the Fiat Punto 90HP Sport and the Manza saloon.

One of the major changes the Vista 90 comes with is interior styling similar to the Manza saloon's. This means the instrument console now moves behind the steering wheel.

The Vista Quadrajet 90 is available in two trims, namely VX and ZX. The VX comes equipped with features like power windows, central locking, ABS with EBD and trip computer. All Vista Quadarajet 90s will come with a black painted roof. The ZX variant comes with all the features of the VX and adds alloy wheels and dual airbags.
Indica Vista Quadrajet 90 prices

VX: Rs 5.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Panvel), Rs 6.03 lakh (ex-showroom,Mumbai)

ZX: Rs 6.32 lakh (ex-showroom, Panvel), Rs 6.63 lakh (ex-showroom-Mumbai)

Friends,

If anybody could provide feedback on the driveability of the New Vista Quadrajet as compared to a TDi engine.

I am seeking the upgrade looking for light clutch, lighter steering and ABS/Airbags.
