Yes, it is correct.

It's an Indian email address - they work slightly differently...

You don't get a reply unless you follow up with several phone calls.

Took me literally 5 phone calls before i received a reply to my email.

That said, Shetty Motors comes highly recommended, and I did buy several authentic VW parts from them.

Sharing the pricing for the benefit of others:
Steering Rack - 11078 - 12800
Lower arm bush & ball joint - 950 + 2100
Front brake pad - 3700 / 2700 (2 types)
Front brake disc - 5500
Front shock absorber - 4900
Front shock buffer kit - 2600
Rear shock absorber - 3550x2
Rear shock buffer kit - 550x2

Re: Spare parts : Shetty Motors (Opera House, Mumbai)

Do they have OE Honda Civic parts available? I was looking for OE Nissin CMC for my civic. Have anyone bought Nissin CMC in India?

There is a Shetty Motors Store in Navi Mumbai too. This is below Turbhe-Vashi Railway flyover, on the side going from Turbhe to Vashi. I go there for MGP and have got the parts at company rates.
Plot No. 3, Vashi-Turbhe Rd, Sector 23, Turbhe, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra 400613

Looking for some parts for Renault Fluence. Would Shetty Motors be a good choice?

What I like:
  • In the business since 1958. Honest management & great reputation. Simple people to deal with. Entirely family-run enterprise.
  • Original parts guaranteed.
  • Can even get you rare-to-find spares for discontinued models (say for a Contessa, Fiat Uno etc).
  • Fixed pricing policy.
What I don't like:
  • Doesn't stock spares for imported cars. Including the CBU Camry, Mercs & BMWs.
Pricing: Either cheaper, or on par with, other spare part shops.

Speciality / USP: None in particular. An honest spare parts store, thats all.

Posting on this old thread but I had a very contradictory experience with them after I visited them for some parts due to this thread.

The prices are not fixed anymore. You can negotiate 10-20% on each quoted price based on where it is sourced from. Speaking from personal experience here.

They don't stock a lot of parts and most of it is sourced for you from nearby stores/dealers while you wait at the counter. I asked the salesman twice very clearly - "Are these your parts or you are getting them from another store?" Both times he said its from Godown. I asked him if the parts are wrong for my car (Laura) then will he take those back? He said Yes very clearly.

But given my intuition, I decided to buy a fewer parts from them at first and re-visit again if needed.

When one of the break-pads were wrong, I visited to return those.

Frist, the same sales guy blatantly refused to acknowledge that he committed 'Yes' to me earlier. Lie 1.

Then he told me parts are not his and the other store will not take back. Lie 2 caught here.

Then he mumbled about billing being done and not possible to roll it back which is another lie since we all know that is not the case within the same month. Then he mumbled about the car being rare and hard to sell these parts (these are pads after all so this itself is a lie again), etc. Lie 3 and 4.

Finally he settled to give me replacement for the part after I asked him to call the other supplier and let me talk to him. He did not allow that but due agreed for replacement. So now I have a spare part that I may need in the future.

So honesty is out of the window here.

Fortunately I bought only regular items that saved me the headache. Pricing, like you said, isn't great. No complaints on the parts quality (yet).

OT: I was able to source major parts from another dealer nearby though and my car is sorted now

Talk about timing . The car now has some issue with the Gearbox or transmission mechanism that is yet to be diagnosed.

For your query, I was able to source parts from Naren Auto Enterprise. They import parts from these German brands: Sachs, Bleistein, TEXTAR, Mahle, Bosch, etc.
