Re: The New Yamaha R125 to be launched.

I guess yamaha is not going the other way rather its planting its foot quite strong in all the segments quite firmly even before others would think of bringing in their low cc super bikes. Nice move yamaha, but price seems to be little worrying for a 125cc! Well but on looking at the tech specs, I would go for it instead of a normal 150 for sure, because the normal 150s do fall around this price range (-10K to be precise). But then a P180/RTR180 is similarly powerful and performance/dynamics will be surely below par against the mighty track proven japs.

Looks nice and techspecs read more powerful than a normal 150 in market(read Pulsar, GS150, Hunk, Dazzler etc etc) and the styling is simply cool. With their R6 success it seems yamaha is aligning its styling similar to it.

Re: The New Yamaha R125 to be launched.

after this news i am like why o why o why o why did yamaha do this, cant they come out with a higher cc bike and with more power atleast to compete with one of those nonsense 250 that are called sport bikes, like the ZMA which is a long stroke not even close to a square engine bike!!!!!!

yamaha pls raise the bar and beat even the honda cbr250, with an appropriate machine!!!!! its already time there is some competition in the market!

I doubt this news!

1. The price looks too low for a bike with full fairing and all these features like liquid cooling, front and rear disc etc. 2. Yamaha was rumoured to be coming out with a modified R15 instead (based on R125) which makes much more sense. (Otherwise who will buy the R15 for around 20k extra?)

Anyways, just 4 more days till the truth is revealed!

All those who criticize this product launch (assuming its true), consider the wide market this bike will cater to. I bet this will be a huge success like the FZ-16. The formula is exactly same- a bike that looks a million bucks, drives decently and is quite affordable to buy and run!

IMO they are giving their best in every segment. The consumers will find it hard to ignore these beautiful machines. Price is a worrying factor though. I sometimes wonder they could have launched these series of bikes long back.

The Price would be Apt buddy. This is only the ex showroom price in Delhi. I'm Expecting almost 1 lac on road here in TVM plus it is only a 125cc with 14BHP. I think this would be a good vaue for money bike.

Re: The New Yamaha R125 to be launched.

At this price point, I don't see it coming.

When clicked on the link provided by Anupam, Motorbeam's home page opens and this is one news which features over there depicting Yamaha (seems they didn't have R1's photos to show off) Yamaha Partners With Deccan Chargers

yes true the price is too low for a liquid cooled engine with a complete fairing. The alloys looks incredibly awesome

Re: The New Yamaha R125 to be launched.

Its an April fool's joke from last year Abhay. Read the quoted text in red.

"Rajpal Yadav inaugurating it in Dharavi."

Thumbs down MotorBeam.

R125 ain't coming to India at that price point. E-V-E-R.
