Nitin, you may go to Alam Motors (a private workshop) in Mayur Vihar Phase-3. I can safely say that you might not get a better mechanic in the NCR

Thanks Shiraz. Could you pass on the number/details?

Let me put it this way, a reasonably good mechanic at an authorized center will be my preference any day over an excellent mechanic with short supply of parts. Reason? I do not have the time to scour around for parts nor the connect to ensure that Karol Bagh parts are genuinely genuine
When I tour, a failed part is the last thing I would want.

Having said that, some mechanics have good sourcing channels and are transparent enough with differential pricing between genuine & 'genuine' parts. I haven't been lucky enough to find one till date.

@Rajneesh - no, I don't have any first hand experience with them but not good feedback from other riders.

Re: Enfield Owners from Noida here?

I just noticed that I quoted Rajneesh and replied to Nitin But I guess it's all good till the time the information proves to be beneficial for all

And Nitin, I couldn't agree with you more! Precisely some of the reasons why I choose to ride around 80 km (to and fro) to get my RDs serviced when I still have two RD specialists in a radius of five to eight km from where I live! But that is a story for some other day and certainly under a different topic.

You do not have to worry about any of those things that you have mentioned; all the bases are covered. In fact, let me take this opportunity to let you and everyone else know that Alam Motors is run by my maternal uncle (my mamujaan), Mr. ShahAlam, and his 23 years old son, NoorAlam (aka Rameez). They both love bullets and are masters of their craft.

Rameez can be reached at 9650886339 and yes, you may give my reference. Hope this helps.

Re: Enfield Owners from Noida here?

Guys, I have just realised that REML offers a one year warranty. Can we go in for extended warranty . (I am interested since my bull has some new fangled parts which may not be available outside).

Re: Enfield Owners from Noida here?

For the benefit of all, last week thought of trying the Noida RE (Mahadev Ent) Service Center first hand.

Below is my rating:
Customer Responsiveness - 2/10
Facilities - 1/10
Service 4/10 (this when I was at the service center throughout the service).

Let me state my reasons:
1. Customer Responsiveness: BTW, the two ladies at the showroom need to be fired. The SA was ok thats why I am giving 2/10. Read further....
a: When I called them for an apoointment, it was as if they were doing me a favor.
b: While I was waiting there, a customer calls up to check on the status of his new bike waiting period.
Customer: This is xxxx, we spoke last Friday, has the bike been dispatched?
Lady1: xxxx who (mutes and giggles to the other one)
Customer: Ma'am, I have paid 1,27,000 to you and everytime I have to remind you who I am when I have been following up every 2nd day.
Lady2: (mutes) Ye lo! Hello Mr. One lake twanty saven thousand (both gigle, unmute & continue talking).
Hope this gives you an idea

2. Facilities: 1000 sq ft Ground & 1st floor. They spend half the time juggling bikes from ground to 1st. There are 3 lift svc stations but 5 bikes are serviced 9with 2 in between on the floor) at a time within 100 sq ft on the 1st floor & I am not exaggerating. Go check it out for self.

3. Service: Was ok as I know all that needs to be done and I am mostly breathing down the mechanics neck when it comes to my TBTS.

Recommendation? Avoid with a thump!

You may search for a post around RE long term maintenance (search should help).
AFAIK, RE does not offer extended warranty.

MODS: There are back to back posts but for different reasons so wanted to keep them seperate. Hope this is ok.
