Excellent mechanic in pune for avenger 200cc

Hello All,

I am a proud owner of a Bajaj Avenger 200cc in Pune. I simply love my motorcycle and have taken it many times to the Konkan coast, Goa and even Karnataka coast from Pune. However i have a very big concern (and i am sure many guys out there share the same).
Plz, plz for godsake tell me a very good, professional mechanic for avenger in pune.. someone who understands what a bike means to his owner.
i have finished all my free (haha.. that was a joke) servicing of avenger so open to give it to a non-bajaj authorized service centre.
i have tried a few mechanics (all were of the authorized bajaj centres in pune) and i was never satisfied. many times i had to take my motorcycle back in 24 hrs since work wud not have been done properly.

plz give me contact details of a good service centre/ individual mechanic for bajaj avenger in pune.

thnx in advance,
kiran

There are various Bajaj Authorized service centers which are cheaper than the factory operated/controlled ones & do a good service of Bajaj bikes including Avenger.

Millenium Auto in Aundh is good, then there is another one near Wanowrie. So really depends on which area are you looking at.

Hello Technocrat,

First of all sorry for posting abbreviations in my post. I had no clue of the rules of team-bhp. It wont happen again.

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply. I stay in Kothrud, so a service centre in and around Kothrud, Deccan, Pune Univ. is preferred. However having said that I am even fine to take my avenger to any corner of Pune if the mechanic/service centre is really good and reliable. I am really frustrated with the work done by the Bajaj guys (Shirole Auto, Kothrud in particular).

Kindly tell me the contact number or any details of "Millenium Auto in Aundh" or any other service centre including the one in Wanowrie.

Thanks in advance,
Kiran Vaidya

Hi Kiran ,

I've been servicing my bike at the Thube Service station, they were running a castrol bike zone until last year , now they have their own setup , but essentially the mechanics remain same and they have good service packages and reasonably priced .

Bikerzone

They are located in lane just next to Sancheti hospital so it should be within the range that you are looking at and I vouch for these guys , very professional service .

Hi Kiran,

You can go to Shirish Joshi, he used to have a workshop in Girija Shankar society in Karvenagar. He knows his stuff well and always uses genuine parts.

Another good guy is Amjad of Bike Gurus. He is located in Ideal colony.

I have personally got stuff done from both these guys and found them to be better than any service station around.

Regards
Rahul

I know of one that has opened on teh DRDO road , cant recall the name now will update details when I can recall. I'd once again say try out these guys and am pretty sure you wont search for other service centres .

I can vouch for that.

You know something? I thought Joshi + Bike = . But, I was proved wrong!! He's very good and does an excellent job. In the last 25 years of my two wheeler ownership, he is the only the second person who didn't try to talk baloney and fleece me.

He is also recommended by Dilip Bam, the renowned two wheeler expert in Pune.

Techno, for bajaj outlets, we are just another customer and it is just another bike. IMHO, if they have to service CT100 to P220 at the same place by the same people, I don't expect it to be otherwise. It is difficult to build a rapport with them.

I had good experience with the company outlet in Wakdewadi (2004 to 2006), where they have some really excellent engineers. When it was shifted to a third party (near under bridge), I had to shift my servicing too :-(

Hello All Puneites who are in dare need of a good Mechanic,
I also vouch for Shirish Joshi,Girija Shankar Society,Karve Nagar. He is the first mechanic I met who has a allergy replacing new parts.I have recommended his name to many of my friends and they are all now using his service regularly. He is a genuine fellow and would not replace any part unless and until its at the end of life and really requires a replacement. His service charges are extremely reasonable.
Offcourse needless to say I approached him due to my favourite Dilip Bam-Bike Expert from Pune
Disclaimer:Whatever I have written here is by genuine personal experience and no way I am doing marketting for any fellow.
I hope this helps.

Re: Excellent mechanic in pune for avenger 200cc

Thanks a lot all of u for suggesting me Shirish Joshi. My avenger was never so smooth.. its like "MAKHAAN-MAAR-KE".

Shirish Joshi is very professional with his approach and understands the emotional value the bike holds for its owner. and moreover his charges are also much less than authorized bajaj mechanics..

xmas i am heading off to goa from pune on my avenger and really looking forward for it.

@comfortablynumb: the garage is located at the ground floor of building A-2 of girijashankar vihar, kothrud, pune.. there is a big castrol hoarding on top of the garage.

Re: Excellent mechanic in pune for avenger 200cc

Hey guys, I was looking at getting some issues (electrical) sorted out on my 2005 Pulsar. Where is the exact location of Shirish Joshi's garage ?
If I am coming in from City Pride side, do I take the right turn where the road T's , and then take a left immediately thereafter, where there is a bike service centre amongst a bunch other shops located there ? Is the garage name Bike Station or something?

Hi Sajo,

If you find this garage please PM me the location details . I once went all the way till BIz Bazaar and searched the surrounding areas but could not find the garage . Also if you could get a contact number that would be great .

Re: Excellent mechanic in pune for avenger 200cc

Thanks Team-BHP members for showing the way.

Recently I got my Pulsar serviced at the Shirish Joshi's service center.
Can vouch for the excellent service provided at very reasonable rate.
You can speak with the confidence that he will not change parts unnecessarily.

I am no way advertising him but just sharing my experience.
