Hey buddy Congrats! So finally took the plunge!

Look forward to your report. Agree with you, the bike has a lot to offer at that price point if the expectations are clear.

Does anyone on the forum know when is the next batch of deliveries starting at the Honda showrooms ?

Or has any other team-bhp member for their deliveries yet ?
Got a call on Saturday from Aditya Honda confirming bike details and asking how I'd pay. They want to know the details ASAP so they must be getting the next lot really soon.

Thanks to Isodope, I might get my ride sooner then expected. Still no end to the sleepless nights.

Asked another dealer from Mumbai - waiting period is now revised to 8-9 months , i guess thats the longest ever for any bike !

Can you share the exclusions in EW.
Hey v&v - Finally received my service book and EW. Did not want a duplicate post, hence sharing the link to my post from ownership review thread where the EW has been explained.

Let me know if you still have any queries and I can try to answer them.

Re: Honda's 250cc Bike : CBR250R!

The bike may be successful, but it soon going to have serious competition, courtesy the KTM 200, which is rumoured to be similarly spec-ed (23-24 BHP, refer Motoroids report - KTM 200 to be 'almost' as powerful as the CBR250R) & the Ninja 250 (on which Kawasaki & Bajaj are working on price reduction).

As a complete bike the RE Cl500 (28 BHP) is no bad bike, as it is good in the city & highway, both, & the mileage is equally good enough, but for good quality on a consistent basis.

I think the only close competition in the existing scenario would be from a cheaper Ninja. KTM and RE would attract slightly different buyers, compared to the zmr/r15/cbr/ninja buyers !!

Re: Honda's 250cc Bike : CBR250R!

I am confused whether to take delivery of the bike. So, it would be great if you guys share experience with respect to the following:

I am 6'2" tall, I did not find the riding position comfortable - The forward lean position with high foot rests. I intend to use the bike mainly for long rides. So, do u think the riding position will be comfortable for a tall guy for long rides?

There have been some reports that the ABS pulse is predominantly felt while braking. The brake feel is not not good in ABS version etc. Is it recommeded to go for the ABS version? I will go for it only if it is worth the premium charged by Honda.

Re: Honda's 250cc Bike : CBR250R!

From all the short reviews I have read, no one has indicated any problems with the braking on the non-ABS version.

For a 6'2" guy:
Name: CBR250.png
Views: 6823
Size: 159.5 KB

So a knee angle of 71 degs does not look too comfortable. Actually this is something that ticks me off as well. I prefer having my legs as close to perpendicular as possible.

Just got a sms from a local bajaj probiking showroom that Ninja 650 is launched and bookings have opened - 4.7L exshowroom mumbai.

I know its not apples to apples but do you think prospective ceeber buyers might give more then a second thought to the new Ninja ?

Re: Honda's 250cc Bike : CBR250R!

I was actually the first one to book the CBR250 in West Delhi, even got a call like 3-4 weeks back.. but they had it only in RED and not sure of the next delivery in Silver or Black colors (which were my preference).
However, I had a test ride in Gurgaon.. I'm 6' tall and to be honest, I didn't like the bike much at all. It seemed much smaller (puny) when considering to the actual pics and videos I'd seen earlier.
The MOST important point for me is the power and feel of the bike right from the low-range which is a failure in my opinion considering the design and ergo's on this one. It seemed to pull even slower than the Pulsar 220, considering I revved well beyond the mid range (to 7-8k rpm) right from the start.

On the good part, the handling, braking, COG round the corners felt great.. So, I'm just gonna try for the Ninja 6L now, and hope I can manage enough bucks! :P
