One thing I noticed that the tyre specification matches exactly with Honda CB400SF, is there's any chance of both bikes sharing some more components?
So test ride after booking huh, Honda needs to rework on their policy.

Depends on the Dealer - but I check with HDFC in person. They have promised to fund 60% of the Ex Showroom value of the bike, which is 90k on the non-ABS in Mumbai.

Waiting period for me was 2 months when booked in early April (I am sure it will be more than that)

Haven't you seen them riding pillion on the Yamaha Fazer,FZ etc as well as the ZMA and Unicorn? Is this bike taller than all of them? Anyway they don't have to be able to sit on it from the ground, they will step on the foot rest and climb up!

PS: I have taken my sari clad wife on the pillion in all those bikes! I am 5'9", but I get cramps if I throw my legs over the pillion seat of the Uni! Try it and see!

I don't think saree guard is a requirement under law. My bike was registered w/o it in 2003.

I got the saree guard installed a good 1 year later.

^^Actually three things are mandatory for bikes at the time of registration:

a) RVM

b) Crash guard

c) Sari guard.

This is the rule, and I have seen many bikes at the RTO with these fittings, and some will be removed - typically the left RVM and the sari guard - after registration. I don't know how they are registering bikes with fairing that have no crash guard nowadays - such as the ZMA-R.

Even the R1 comes with one
a R1 is capable of turning a Saree into a parachute

Finally i got call from Uday Honda, Bike have arrived and if formalities can be completed then can be delivered in 2-3 days. Will be going to check the bike. Will try to take some shots too.

I have also asked them to arrange a test drive. Will decide after that.

The Day i got Zma,i got rid of saree guard at showroom itself.
R1's sold in India,do come or may be came with a Saree guard,not sure about Busa.

Not sure,but some rule must have been there,thats why R1's sold here had saree guards,not sure if they have it now.

@GansanOh, My bad. I thought CBR250R's pillion was taller atleast by 1-2 inches than other bikes you've mentioned.

yeah, its difficult to climb onto Uni's pillion seat. But no cramps for me so far. Isnt this bike taller than Uni(from rear-seat perspective)?

There is a rule no.95, sub rule no.123 in this link, which says "safety devices for Motorcycles-checking and fitment". Can you please check what this particular rule is?

It is difficult for me to throw a leg over while standing on the ground. It is easy if I climb on to the foot peg and then trow my leg over, but when a 80 KG fellow does that, life will be difficult for any rider!

As for cramps, don't worry, you will also get it when you reach my age!!

You're right abt a and c but crash guard is not required IIRC.
