Restoration of my 1994 Yezdi Roadking.

Hi,

After waiting for a long time i have decided to Restore my Yezdi Roadking.
I am having a 1994 Delhi Registered Roadking.

One day when i was going to my factory i saw a Roadking parked in front of one mechanic shop, i asked that mechanic is it for sale, he refused, after few days when i was going to factory on my 1966 SHL M11(WFM) the same mechanic called me and said i have bring this motorcycle by watching you roaming on classic beauty and i want to get this motorcycle on road, can you help me. I said sure what type of help u want from me, he said i want the gas tank of this motorcycle. We tried a lot but we were not able to find the gas tank.

After a month he said what can u pay for this motorcycle if i sell it.
I asked him what do you want for this, and finally after a long discussion i got the same motorcycle in 5k.

The condition of motorcycle is not good.

In Detail
Single owner.
Clocked 48000.
Engine is not in condition to even rotate.
Full motorcycle rusted.
Still i feel lucky to get the Yezdi Roadking.

I Owned this roadking last year in september and parked at home.

Now decide to make a list and arrange spares first then will restore it myself.

And finally the project Restoration Yezdi Roadking started.

Want your all support and help to restore my RK

Good Luck @Stroke; do make a long list of parts that you need & I'll see what I'd be able to source for you.

OT - Was this your project - http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/super-...-e30-316i.html? What happened to this one? So sad to see this project not completed. Any updates on E30 further?

@STROKE: Your bike is in much better condition than what I had imagined it to be after reading through your first post. The bodyline looks clean. Considering that the Yezdi parts are comparitively more freely available than that of JAWA, you should be able to restore it to its full glory. All the very best with your restoration.

Regards

Rahul

@ STROKE, There is a picture of another bike in the 5th pic. It seems to be Yezdi Classic CLII, right?

@Stroke: Nice jobbie. Why does it need a 'gas tank'? The tank looks fine to me. Unless its leaking. Is it? You need a cover for you carb (or a new carb perhaps - can't even make out if the current one is all there). The pipes are in very good shape actually - hardly any dents at all. Its pretty cool that it still has the factory fitted indicators. Don't throw any of the parts away and replace them with new ones. Try and fix them. Original parts are next to impossible to find even here in Bangalore.

Good luck with the restoration job man. Keep us posted.

Ah. Well you can get Roadking tanks here in Shivajinagar in Bangalore at the Gujli (scrapyard). You could probably pick one up for about 500 - 700 bucks depending on your bargaining skills I think.

Stroke: If you dont get a tank, the one that you have can be easily brought to shape. This is a common problem with these kind of tanks and here in bangalore, a good welder/tinker gets the job done and would cost you a fraction of the price you'd pay for a new one. As for the bike, it looks much better than what you have decribed in ur first post, but pictures can be deceiving. 5k for any condition RK is a steal so u are lucky. IN Bangalore, just the frame and fork would sell for that price. Anyways, post a list of parts you are looking for and I'll check if I can help you with some.
