Thanks for clearing that up. I had a feeling it would void the warranty.

Posting this on behalf of Aditya, he is not being able to post on his own thread

The Ninja owners meet has been cancelled but the Test Rides are still going to happen on the NICE Road. Anyone interested needs to call the Probiking showroom and register for it. So guys, please call Shivkumar or Janki (080-4165-7777)and register asap as I am guessing that there will be quite a lot of people turning up just for the ride.

Thanks for posting on my behalf Sammy.

There are apparently over 30 confirmed people for the test ride.

The ride is on a 5km stretch on NICE road and other vehicles will be cordoned off as per bajaj.

Edit - I'm able to post now. looks like it was a temporary issue. Phew !!!

Completed 3000 kms and its not even 2 months old. Having a blast with the bike. We manage to ride every weekend on Friday nights and Sunday mornings so I get to use the bike well and to almost its full potential.

Regularly get to clock 160kmph on the bike and post that the climb is slow.

I've started noticing that there is a metallic vibration of some kind (noise is evident) between 7k and 9k RPM. Below 7k and above 9k the sound disappears. I guess i have to tighten the bolts on the fairing which is very easy.

Other than that, i ordered the XENA XX-6 Disc Alarm Lock from eBay and it cost me US $ 71.00/-. Box price was US $ 91.00/-

Here is the link : Motorcycle security: XX6 disc-lock alarm for motorcycles, scooters & ATVs

also ordered some paint protection films and water based degreaser (Krud Kutter) to clean the area around the chain etc.

The bike is due for a service at 6k kms and another at 12k. I guess i'll have the oil changed and at 12k switch to semi synth and plonk in a K&N air filter.

Yeah Samarth. Been riding every weekend and planning on a slightly longer trip this weekend... at least half way to Chennai and back. Lets see.

Pics of my new lid are on the helmet thread. Here is the link : http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/1957665-post249.html

Looks very bright and flashy and a huge contrast to the Green Ninja. Safer in a way since others can see me better in the dark.

Wanted these http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/1956647-post247.html but couldnt source them anywhere in India. Found them on eBay but couldnt wait for 10days to reach me. That would mean I had to not ride till the lid arrived. :(

The earlier lid I had was an LS2 (ECE 22.05 certified) while this one is DOT and ECE certified.

Oho! missed it. Wish I saw this msg earlier. I hope the Pro Biking guys are becoming more customer friendly. Is there any more chance of similar test rides?

Of course i recognized you man. GD76 with the 220 right? Didnt know you were a member here.

BTW, we are riding to Krishnagiri and a lil beyond on the GQ towards Chennai on Sunday morning (again). It'll be nice if you can join us. Do lemme know. Details are on the Xbhp Blore G2G thread.

@rocky - not sure if the test rides will happen again but there is another such event planned, no dates as yet. Keep an eye on this thread for updates. I shall post details as soon as I get it.

Yes you are right, this Sunday is not possible as I'll be working, but would love to ride that stretch, some other time.

3000 km is kick*** man..make sure your oilchanges are more often, preferably every 1000 km if the bike is on a mineral diet. im just 2500 odd on the odo.

Yeah i cant believe i'm riding so much. Never ridden so many miles in such a short time earlier. It'll exactly be 2 months on 7th July since I took delivery and it'll touch around 3.5k kms mark i guess.

I ride as often as I can. Initially I used to ride everyday to complete the run-in asap. Return home from work, change into something comfy, get into the riding gear and head out... that was a routine... plus family was away so it helped. Nowadays I ride at least twice a week and only on the weekends, so i usually cover around 400 kms in a week.

Do i really have to change the oil every 1k kms? I was thinking i'll change it at 6k... and at 12k switch to semi-synth (heard fully synth is not required, plus frequent top-up is needed) and plonk a K&N filter.

Need your help in zeroing in on a good slip on dude. Want something deep and bassy (always wanted an inline four but not in the market yet). I cant really go with the video's on you-tube as they are so deceptive and subjective. They all sound nice, cos its recorded in a garage or closed spaces or the microphone is close to the end pipe. I was thinking of M4 (saw a nice deal on eBay for 18-20k on M4 with shipping) but then i guess two brothers is highly recommended. Any idea on HR1, Blueflame, etc? Cant seem to decide and i dont wanna be hasty too.

Guys who are interested in buying a Ninja 250R please see the market place section.

A good friend of mine is selling his Ninja as he just bought a Honda CBR 1000RR Fireblade. Also his 600 was in the shop for a while and is gonna be back which pretty much means the 250 has to go. Bike is in excellent condition and is located in Pune with MH regn. Done only 11,000 kms (genuine).

Contact him for more information. I have only posted the ad on his behalf.

P.S. Mod's, I have no financial gains or otherwise from the sale. Posted here for interested people who cant spend 3.2lacs on a brand new 250R and are looking for used well maintained ones.

A similar test ride event for the Ninja was organised at The Moto Cafe in Pune. Atleast 25 people had got TR and most of them were pretty impressed.

Yes. the more frequent the oil changes the better, since we are literally riding at peak revs, it takes a toll. 6000 km is way to long an interval. At 2500 km im already on my third change, with 4th coming at 3k km.

As far as slip on's are concerned, 2 bros and Akra's are the most popular ones. Yoshi's i think will be the most bassy ones.
